Think the Madrid idea is fantastic. Can we get a cheap flight to Madrid? Remember I've just been to Portugal and bought new car. Oh s-d it, it's only money anyway!!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

 

We could, of course, settle for Barcelona my all time favourite place. Great nightlife. Mind you Madrid is great for shopping... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Went to Madrid a fews years back and really wasn't that impressed. (Probably didn't help with someone trying to mug me. Didn't get anything - grrr... <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />).

 

Although I've never been to Barca, I know a few people that have and have only heard good reports of the place. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I've been to both Madrid and Barca, and I liked them both. In fact I was in Madrid this year, and I was certainly impressed. There was a lot of building in progress for the Olympics.

I agree it does not seem fair as it's not too long ago that they were held there. I was there that year. Went to the rowing events held at the very top end of the Costa Brava.
