Wisezola - How do you think you will get on in the replay, you should still be in with a fighting chance

We really do think it is all to play for, they have the centre forward Touhy suspended, Im sure they will have a decent replacement, but im not sure it is all cut and dried, I get the impression they think they have done the hard bit at our place.

We may change our shape a little which may give them something else to think about, were certainly not going there to make the numbers up, It was certainly hard to spot that we are SSML div 1 and they are three levels above us in the Ryman prem. To tell you the truth our lot are really disappointed to have let it slip with 12 mins to go, there was a real sense of having missed a real chance to knock them out.

Our major concern is the games we are getting behind in the league, which is our priority, we have the Vase v Kentish Town away on Saturday, and we lost the div cup match v Holmer Green Tuesday night due to the replay, but to be honest its a lovely problem to have.

In this cup run, we have made a few quid and beaten Harwich & Parkeston and Witham from one level above followed by this draw, so we've not had it easy, we seem to have thrived on the challenges so far, and it is helping to steer some decent potential new signings our way.

I just sent Rhodes a pm and did not put my name, he had no idea who I was, so I had to reply and say it was me!!!

I thought the fact I am doing a blog for Kingbury would be a giveaway.

Or the fact that the match reports say 'POSTED BY GAVIN'

No, admitedly I didn't realise it was Gavin straight away but I do now, it's good to have him back in the fold and I hope he will side with me where Loosely is concerned, Gavin was also very much part of the original 'Edgware' project until the goalposts were about to be moved and he ran a mile, he saw the writing on the wall.

Rhodes,

What was the 'EDGWARE PROJECT???'..... were/are the club going to reformed?? fond memories of the white lion ground....one of the nicest non league grounds i've ever visited, lots of character... Loved looking down onto the pitch from the main stand.

Along with many others (too many to mention) its now a development of luxury apartments etc etc....sad to see!! Very sad to see the 'ware fold a few years back.

the coldend,

No it isn't! The Mayor blocked the development, and the WLG is now lying derelict. Apparently it will cost an arm and a leg to renovate it back to Ryman League standards, but I do believe that plans are in hand to resurrect the Edgware Town name with or without the ground.

Rhodes, What was the 'EDGWARE PROJECT???'.....

TheColdEnd - Firstly congratulations on the addition to your family. Well how long do you have, I could talk until the cows come home about the Edgware project which was the brainchild of Tiger Man however it was later comandeered and somehow became Southill Alexander, he will probably be better placed to tell you about it than me but make sure you're wearing a tin hat when he posts.

Father Jack....Rhodes...

What a shame the ground is still there gathering dust??? (as is Buckingham Road - Aylesbury United - although i wasn't such a fan of that ground)

It was def a Ryman standard compared to some of the grounds I've seen... Just the parking which was a bit of a nightmare..

tce

Aylesbury 2-1 Erith Town

Aylesbury dominated he first half but allowed the visitors more of the game in the second giving away a soft penalty, some Erith players tended to get a little niggly towards the end giving away free kicks and recieving yellows where one should have been a straight red.

Not SSML but check this out folks from last night, where's Willo the Cat, surely it can't have been him in goal:

fa cup replay

east preston 2 guildford city 2 aet

east preston won 4-2 on pens

adm £5

prog 50p

att 100+

EPIC.

A giantkilling and an absolute monster of a game, east preston had already beaten camberley one step above and gosport two steps above.

on saturday they came from 4-1 behind to draw 4-4.

today they took the lead, and deserved it, until midway through the 2nd half they looked comfortable until the equaliser and were heartbroken on 73 mins when a guildford player running on to a goalie clearing the ball got it whacked straight in to his stomach and scored his luckiest goal yet.

east preston were heartbroken until the last kick of the game, a looping header from a corner, which sent most of the 100+ crowd into raptures.

extra time was rather cagey affair, and the heroics of the east preston keeper who saved two penalties sent the lowest team still in the fa cup on to a trip to dover athletic away a full 5 steps above them and possibly netting the club £7k.

this could change the club forever.

very community based club within a housing estate, untidy pitch and grounds itself but it has character

my favourite game for a few years, best of luck to the club in the future

It sounds like London Colney gave it their best shot this evening at Aveley but it wasn't quite enough:

Wasn't me although I am secretly trying to break the 1st choice keeper :)

As with any new club that you join late you have to wait for your chance. It will come just as it did at Kentish.

Anyway Rhodes if I would have been in goal last Saturday then there would be no need for a replay........and cue Bemused

I bet you would swap it all to be on the same pitch as Lee Scott, Jonathan Donoghue, Dave Dawson and Javier Rivera though, those were the days weren't they

Swap the biggest day out in my footy carrer in the biggest comp in the world??? I don't think so. The team was good whilst together but it has to be said that a certain coach was the master behind the team and the championship!

Clement Temile you mean, yes I couldn't agree more but then without Lee Scott we would have finished mid table as Royston would have done last season without Craig Hammond
