I must agree with SB, parts of the pitch are in a shocking condition. It looks like someone has driven some sort of vehicle over parts of it.

 

Do Beaconsfield have a groundsman anymore?

 

If the ground doesn't improve and the weather gets worse I can foresee plenty of games getting called off.

It's not just the condition of the pitch thats horrendous, its the fact that it looks like who ever did the lines couldn't be bothered to do a proper job. They are all over the place around the goals.

 

On top of that the goal mouths themselves are terrible too with the amount of sand in there.

Is it really that bad or is it a general moan, serious question ?

i seem to remember some people slagging off stag meadow,when you were there,

having said that our pitch is the best its been in a long time.

You could sit on a deck chair in the goal mouth because of the amount of sand there.

Stag Meadow was awful when slough played there due to a number of issues. 30K was spent on it over two summers to make it the better and even then it took a season or two to get into top condition. I dont know about the funds at SYCOB but i doubt they have that kind of cash.

 

 

One of the downsides of groundsharing for sure but lets be honest SYCOBS pitch has always been poor so having two sides on it is never going to help.
