During running to and from the hospital (as well a juggling looking after a 2 year old lad) I have managed to secure the cold end's first exclusive interview with 'the other special one' Jose Viana of Sport London Benfica.

TheColdEnd - Yes, I'm doing the programme as we speak although it's not going to be of Hello and OK magazine proportions, just sufficient to meet the FA's requirement for a programme. Tokyngton Manor have an excellent Under 18's side this season, they could be the Club's flagship seeing how the First Team are still struggling to find their feet this season, at least until Lee Scott joins in early November.

The Cold End - Well that has never stopped me going to a game in the past, I've never really seen what all the fuss is about being at the birth of your child, I wouldn't say it was something to write home about and it never happened in the old days so why now

Wise decision in your case Rhodes, theres always that chance of the midwife discarding you by mistake instead of the afterbirth, what with you being a total waste of space.

What do your children say when they see you? "Who's that ugly fecker Mum?"

Loosely - Whilst you're here I was reading the report from your game with Woburn on their impressive free Website and it wasn't so much the football on offer that stood out for me but the music which I assume was your bright idea, what's wrong with, for example, Layla by Derek and the Dominos, Sultans of Swing by Dire Straits of Freebird by Lynyrd Skynyrd:

Holland and Nick Skolsky fire Woburn to an opening day victory against League 'money bags' Southill Alexander

The day was finally upon on us, the start of the new 2009/10 season! However it felt more like a cup final rather than a league match as we turned into the brand new 'Carlsberg Stadium', but Woburn had their gem with Richard's Aston Martin pulling up the hosts driveway ...!

In the Warm Up, Woburn were greeted by the soundtrack of the best football songs, included were some gems such as Vindaloo and Three Lions .... and dont forget the MATCH OF THE DAY THEME tune! This all contributed to a great atmosphere around the camp and everybody couldn't wait for the whistle to go.

Woburn lined up in 4-4-1-1 formation with Holland leading the line with Murray just in behind him. Straight from the first whistle Woburn were into the 'Millionaires' of Southill, winning every 50/50 and playing most of the opening periods in the hosts half. However the first chance went to the leagues newcomers after Andy Skolsky tried to play a tight offside, but came out way to late, it left the Southill striker one on one with Holt. Holt stood up and the strikers shot was struck straight at

Woburn's number 1. Woburn were playing as well as they have done in years, with Allan, Skolsky and Murray pulling the strings and with Broadbent and Green seeming to be winning everything that ventured into the centre of the park, Woburn looked real good. The break through came half way through the 1st half when good play from Broadbent got the ball out to the wide left with Nick Skolsky whos first cross was volleyed back across goal by Allan at the backpost, the ball found its way back to Skolsky, and his 2nd attempt of a cross found Holland in the middle who did well to get in front of his marker and found the back of the net with his head/back! 1-0 Safari Boys!

The second Woburn goal wasn't far away! 9 minutes later Nick Skolsky came inside and was caught by the Southill defender 30 yards out. He dusted himself off and unleashed a terrific free kick into the net , the Southill keeper didnt even move! 2-0 Safari Boys! Woburn were full of confidence and enjoying the game in the surroundings, with a flat pitch and no mole mounds to content with, Woburn showing some glorious football. Chances came at the end of the half with Holland shooting wide from a good position and Ottaway heading over from a Murray corner.

Half time came and the Woburn dressing room was full of smiles and the words, 'lets keep it up'! However it began badly with a series of Southill chances leading to their goal from a short corner and a unmarked header left Holt with no chance, Southill's first competitive goal. At times Woburn were hanging on but good defending from full backs Wilson and Ripley left their strikers having little supply! The Safari Boys could have been well ahead with a number of chances falling to last seasons top goalscorer, but luck wasn't on his side in the 2nd half! Murray and Stuart Skolsky all went close aswell with Nick Skolsky having a long range effort saved by the goalkeeper. Holland was also booked for a very late challenge on the goalkeeper!

Woburn hung on though and took the well deserved 3 points! A great performance from all the lads!

Think if Southill Alexander do make it big in the next decade which they plan to do then we can say to everyone concerned that their first competitive game was a defeat against Woburn! AND I WAS THERE!

Woburn Team: Holt, Ripley, A.Skolsky, Ottaway, Wilson, N.Skolsky (S.Skolsky), GREEN (A.McClure), Broadbent, Allan (S.Murray), L.Murray, Holland. Subs not used Pearce, D.McClure

Man of The Match: Chris Green

I don't know how much you realise about how we are set up Rhodes but we really are a democratic club and as someone who merely represents the club as a bit of a logistical limb I've taken a personal decision that its not really my place to comment much on our strengths, faults, weaknesses, balls ups etc on the playing front in public. I think thats best left to our coaching staff and the rest of our owners at whatever level of expertise they have.

I know you'd like me to comment more but I'd say that thats quite a fair report in most respects. I know that the majority of our players are super talented, I would say that wouldn't I? But for whatever reason I felt that we more than anyone made Woburn look good, same last Saturday with Dunton. We just didn't want it as much.

Apart from that, what has it all got to do with the anachronism that is Clifford Rhodes? You seem rather proud of it, that you wouldn't show up at the birth of a child, to support the mother of your very own offspring? I think that you believe that people will see you as a bit laddish, a bit misogynistic like. Be interesting if our other sports fans support this view of yourself or take it for what it really is. A myth in your own mind.

Perhaps they'll break it down more basically into "What a pr1ck!"

I think you would understand more his apathy to childbirth, if you ever have the misfortune to meet him at a football match, with the offspring in tow

Keeps - I thought my kids thanked you for the fiver you kindly spent on them at Broxbourne Borough two seasons ago, your posts are often low blows aimed at children and members families and I think that says a lot about you as a person.

Another innocent topic subverted and soiled by the off topic Rhodes. No wonder people leave any club let alone any forum that he infects.

Loose, to quote your last post "Another innocent topic subverted and soiled by the off topic Rhodes. No wonder people leave any club let alone any forum that he infects." I think if you look back,it was actually you and the above post that started it, as you do on most of the other threads!!!! I think we all get the picture now, that you don't like Rhodes or anything he says, so rather then hijack every thread with your dislike, why not just start one up especially for him.

Hollie, I've got nothing against Rhodes, I'm sure he is a perfectly decent chap who just happens to be a complete c0ck. Perhaps if you can read you will be able to look back and see that the thread was actually about thecoldends blog and although he said that he would be a bit hit and miss due to the impending birth of a child it was in fact Rhodes who took it off topic with his assertation of laddish credentials. Take a look.

I'm glad you've got the picture though.
