FA Youth Cup - Wednesday 9th September

Windsor & Eton take on Abingdon United in the FA youth cup tomorrow evening.

 

It would be nice if as many as possible could come down and cheer them on.

All those who stayed in to watch England missed a fantastic match with the visitors securing victory late in the game with a disputed offisde goal to make the score 4-5. Windsor, having taken a 1-0 lead, found themselves 1-3 down at half time but pulled two goals back to make it 3-3 and looking like going on to win the match after scoring again to go 4-3 in front but an excellent volley from outside the penalty box brought the visitors level again and they finally nicked the tie with that controversial goal - shame that such a good game should be decided by a mistake from the officials but credit to both sides for an entertaining evenings' football played in the right spirit and best of luck to Abingdon United in the next round.
