Windsor 1 - 1 Bridgwater

I liked the first half today, it looked like a well paced game of football with us applying the pressure and then taking advantage with a well taken ball into the box by Richardson. A little bit unfortunate for the Bridgwater player who looped it in.

Out for the second half and Bridgwater had regrouped and matched us ball for ball. We seemed to loose momentum and loose track of what we needed to achieve! It

Looking back on it we wasnt as bad as some people were making out. We hit the post and Richo was unlucky not to score in the second half aswell.

Excited about saturday. The Fa cup! As many of you know i'm the worlds most negitive and pessimistic person alive today but i honestly think we have a side that can have a good cup run this year.

The first half was okay, but losing chenns left us with no pace up front. Bringing Richardson off lest Wallo up front on his own and we were never going to score. Bridgewater were a decent side and over 90 mins did not deserve to lose, it is early in the season and we are well ahead of this time last year so we shouldn't be too down. I would say that if Chenns and Richardson get a run of games they will score a lot of goals between them and we will be at or around the top of the league. Playing an FA cup game in September is a nice change, lets hope we are still playing in it in October as well!!

Just a shame Chenns is out for a couple of weeks, we will get to see if Shed is up to the challenge......

I thought after the 1st 15 minutes it was a pretty poor performance; everything seemed to be done at half pace with very little of the quality shown in the first few games on display.

Selection and substitutions baffled me a bit - we were crying out for some quality crosses but the guy who delivered them last week, Scott Thomas, didn't get on.

I appreciate the fact that Richardson is lacking fitness but he really needed to stay on as he was the only one who looked likely to create anything in front of goal. He didn't look like he was on his last legs when he came on and am sure he could have done the full 90 if asked.

There will be lots more ups and downs before the season is finished of course but that was a very disappointing performance.

I think people need to put things into perspective. We're not going to just steam-roller the opposition every game. There is no shame in drawing with Bridgwater or Gosport for that matter as they are definitely 2 of the better sides in this division and will certainly be in the mix come the end of the season.

For what its worth I think it

It's always a source of fascination to me how different people can come away with such disparate opinions of a football match. And I'm not saying I'm right and you're wrong at all, just I thought that was one of the worst games I've seen since I started coming in December last year, and there were some stinkers towards the end of the season...

Anyway, rough and smooth is what it's all about so no problems here, but I do really look forward to Thomas crossing onto Richardson's head... that's a combination that's going to produce some goals this season given the chance!

With Thomas AND Jake on the right we're going to get games where one misses out. Jake will get in behind teams better than i've seen Scott do so far. Both offer something different which is miles better than like for like replacements.

I've been well impressed with both Jake & Thomas so far. They are slightly different players whereas Jake likes to take men on and get to the by-line, Thomas has a bit more of a David Beckham style and looks to get half a yard and put a cross in.

I agree with Rother its always interesting to see how different people have different views on certain games. I just thought that on Sat we came up against a pretty good side that was clearly up for the game. In the end both sides cancelled each other out (a bit similar to the Gosport game). I still thought it was a decent quality game, although I would agree we looked a bit ragged up front in the last 20 mins or so when Richardson ran out of puff.

We also have to realise that a lot of the teams in the league see us as one of the favourites and the big team to beat. We will have a lot of teams playing at the top of their game to beat us, we will be a scalp after last season so we have to be at our best for every game, especially at the start of the season when everyone fancies their chances. Mrs Cat put it well by saying the team that loses the least games will probably win the league, we have yet to lose and really yet to look like losing, so keep the faith and lets hope for a few more wins starting Saturday in the FA Cup,
