I attended this game too Rhodes. Funniest thing was seeing about two dozen hoppers rushing off at the end of the game to get to Erith & Belvedere for the second part of their double header!

I suppose costs are going up and the prices haven't really changed for a few years. Think I'm going to start going to away games early in a trackie as a player!!

Ref off Ref - To be fair Football Man does know what he is talking about however where groundhoppers 'collect' grounds he 'collects' matches so as to boast how many he has been to each season, fair play to him as I believe it was well over 400 last season. The Brimsdown Rovers v Buckingham game would have finished at 2.50 and the Erith & Belvedere v Sidley United game started at 4.00 which is easily doable by car, obviously by public transport it wouldn't be.

Ref off Ref - Football Man won't see it that way I'm afraid, he takes himself far too seriously and I've never seen him crack a smile, you could be a marked man from now on.

Another anorak was at the Brimsdown v Buckingham game yesterday, I expect Brimsdown will miss the healthy revenue from the groundshare when Enfield Town eventually leave Goldsdown Road and the Social Club will miss the lucrative bar takings:

The clubhouse does at least have a bit of character. The only problem with the rest of the ground is the ugly metal fence that encloses it. The floodlights also look different from other ones as they are a bit shorter than average.

Some people may be interested to learn that the covered terrace on the north side has been there since 1983, when Rovers were promoted to the top division of the LSL. The steelwork is the same, but 4 steps of concrete terracing were added to the flat concrete base when Enfield Town moved in.

I hope Enfield Town will leave the 'Arena Seating' stand behind when they move, as I believe the QEII stadium already has a seated stand, and that they will take just the covered terrace (the one behind the west goal) with them.
