ClubYellow - The new social network for Canvey Island FC supporters!

 

After a few months of work, it's finally ready to go! The FansFocus/Facebook/iCal specifically aimed at all supporters of the gulls!

 

It won't be heavily censored - and most things will be up for discussion between the fans (though, obviously restrictions will apply, just like on this website!).

 

We've put it into beta testing mode for a while to iron out and creases, and to make sure that it is worthwhile having - so sign up, and get involved! Hopefully we can build a good online community for Canvey Island Football Club!

 

Oh, and you can even login using your Facebook account - saving you the effort and time!

Oh well, we have given 10 years to promoting Canvey on these forums - after all the site started at chat.belowsealevel.co.uk, which was the original Canvey forum, and then grew into isthmian.com and then into the site you see today, we wish you all the best.

 

These forums will remain for those who wish to use them, accessible via http://www.canveyfc.com etc., so I will leave the choice up to the members.

 

I was unaware of what you were planning - if you had spoken to me then we could have used a piece of software to allow members to log into both sites using the same username / password. We still can do a joint venture.

 

Ironically I was talking to Matt and we were going to introduce extra forums / features for clubs starting with Canvey LOL

Hi Ian,

 

In no way have you been copied! I was gutted when I saw your test site, I've been using IP.Board since version 2 and had the Club Yellow in development for around 2 months - but it's been in the pipeline as an idea since the start of last season!

 

We're not even trying to compete with Fans Focus. Hopefully they can run alongside each other with out any problems. The benefit of using your forums are that Canvey supporters can interact with other clubs and their fans, this is something that Club Yellow doesn't offer! The idea is to link it in with our new official website, which is going to be based around 'social networking' and getting visitors involved - the forums have been launched before the actual site so that we can make sure everything is going to work correctly.

 

I was going to drop you a PM at the end of beta testing about linking them together some how. I'll send you that now instead!
