I know it is not a Margate topic per se (although probably quite a few of our 1950's players will have played against him), but I think it is great that Bert Williams is a guest of honour at the forthcoming England Slovenia international. One of our greatest ever goalkeepers - no - the greatest, on today's values he would be worth millions.

 

Long overdue recognition for a true cat in Wolves clothing.

hear hear. I think genuine football topics are fair game for this board if thats ok with everyone else as long as Margate is the predominant topic.
