What is so hard to believe that we wasnt getting that much money. If them players went and played for barkingside or hullbridge would all of a sudden them clubs have money to throw about.

 

A few people with non-league knowledge could look at the players you have playing and assume you a paying out big money. But all it is, is friends playing together thats all hornchurch and brentwood was.

Gaffa. The majority of the 2 sides were all mates.

 

Hornchurch you had the Golbys and The Cowleys, collier, king, perry who were all mates before. Then put them with Bostock, Burbridge, hickman, holland and sontag all become mates still socialise now.

 

Brentwood you had the hornchurch boys and the added the older aveley boys and again all got on a still all speak now.

 

2 teams of mates who won everything on little money.

ok so you and your mates gott feck all, but my mates who played for them teams got a decent wage. ill give you an example won of my mates plays for an essex team lives in east london it cost him 50 pounds a week in petrol, do you not think he gets more than 50 pounds a week. maybe all my mates are greedy feckers.

Alot of the brentwood and hornchurch players lived close to the grounds so not alot of money required just like your players i assume. The abbey boys may have been on alittle more to cover petrol money.
