Shocking, I'd have hoped to have had a balanced report from Rhodes by now considering this sort of activity. Perhaps he left early.

Oh, you've turned quick ref off ref. Seem to be a quick study too, its usually a few days until you get the measure of Cliffy.

I was also at this game and the scenes after the game from the TM player that they call Drogba was discusting and disgraceful along with their Captain and their supporters antics (on and off the pitch, I agree with Magpie that its about time the League get involved and stop players like this playing in the league. All fairness to Mr Rhodes he was very apologetic afterwards to Cockfosters Management and Commitee members and did not agree with the behaviour. I also saw a few of the TM players apologise to the Cockfosters Management but did not see the TM Management apologise, maybe they think that this is ok behaviour.

Rhodes does seem to have become spectacularly reticent though all of a sudden like. Unusual though that is when owning his own and teams poor behaviour.

All thanks too the TM goal keeper, good player !!

Agree Digby, Cockfosters should have won this game but the Tokyngton Manor goal keeper was outstanding, shame he will soon get tarred with the same brush if he stays there, although he was one of the few that was not involved. Referee didnt help either playing nearly ten mins over time until Tokyngton Manor scored.

Good for Cockfosters who did not get involved and was briskfully taken to the changing rooms by their management. Lets hope that the referee reports the matter as this should not be able to take place by any team, the league has also got to stand up and be counted on trouble like this!!!!!!

I had actually logged off shortly before this post was made, I occasionally have other things to do. I think I know who Magpie was and although I am not for a second condoning some of the behaviour described I also don't think the Cockfosters goalkeeper was entirely blameless, I gather that he has a reputation for stirring up trouble and may well have said something to the Tokyngton Manor player known as 'Drogba' for him to react in the inexcusable way that he did. I'm sure Magpie and Digby will agree that up until the point where Tokyngton scored the winning goal it had been an excellent cup tie played in great spirit however I do feel one, possibly two, Cockfosters players didn't take defeat particularly well and some provocation did take place.

Mr Rhodes I am sorry but I do not know who you are, I agree with you that it was a really good game to watch and I was impressed with some of the football from both sides but it will be a ground that I will not return to when Tokyngton Manor is playing as to whether or not the Cockfosters goal keeper did or did not say something it was shocking behaviour from the majority of the Tokyngton Manor players especially the 6'+ player in question and the captain, it is something that I nor my grandson need to see and wonder what would have happened if the player in question had got through supporters that had stopped him. I also noted that the player in question had run the whole length of the pitch to get involved in some handbags with the Cockfosters goal keeper and another Tokyngton Manor player before leaving the pitch to get the iron bar, he was just looking for trouble.

Lesson to learnt then if we read what Rhoadsie says, if you are losing to them don't moan at all or you'll get an iron bar for company....and to everyone else, wind up the Fozzies keeper, early bath syndrome.

Ref off Ref - I don't quite understand that post, it doesn't make any sense, if the Cockfosters goalkeeper did say something untoward to 'Drogba' to make him act in that totally unacceptable fashion then he is not entirely blameless is he. I know that after Tokyngton Manor scored the winning goal he accused one of our players of feigning injury and it all kicked off shortly after that.

Gosh, how hurtful. Surely you cannot be attempting to justify violent behaviour, threat of assault and injury on the basis that one player intimated to another that he may have been "feigning injury"?

One dreads to hear next weeks installment whereupon a Tok player is held for murder after a competitor admires his sister.

Loosely - I'm not trying to justify anything, all I'm saying is that I feel the goalkeepers actions had a bearing on the unsavoury incident that followed.
