Any chance of hearing who the player is and why he was illegible for us uninformed?

Loosely - Why on earth do you want to know what player it was, what difference would that make, if I told you you would be none the wiser anyway so how about John Smith.

At the risk of annoying the "Football Talk Only Police" this is what you get when you try to talk "Football".

Rhodes, my interest was in Fact, not in insubstantiated rumour. I believe in plain talk and I can quite easily see how using your very own tactics a fine club like Tokyngton can be slurred by unscrupulous posters. A name and an actual reason why the player was ineligible sets the story straight. Besides that how do you know what players I know or don't? Such snobbery, arrogance and rudeness!

Perhaps you don't know Rhodes. Be much easier to admit ignorance if that is the case than to use your usual deflection and distraction techniques.

Rhodes:

No but you suggested it which is the same thing.

Incidentally before I forget will Portugal be entering the Inner City World Cup this year, I believe it's this weekend.

I didn't even suggest it.

You needed to clear your conscience by saying what you said. That's fine. We all know. Don't need to deny it.

Horace - If you must know it was a player called Chris Ellis who played in virtually every game last season, he took over in goal during the game against Sport London e Benfica when the Tokyngton goalkeeper was unfairly dismissed. Like I said it was a genuine mistake which the Club actually owned up to as soon as they realised Chris hadn't been registerred, unlike some Club's might have done in a hope of getting away with it.

Wasn't so hard then was it?

So unregistered, not a ringer, not on a suspension or ban.

All clear then, simple error, not machiavelian intrigue.

Loosely - Yes very much so however I'm sure the Club will incur a financial penalty from the SSML. No Chris couldn't be less of a ringer as he bleeds black and white, it's unfortunate but one of those things in football, even the best administrators can get it wrong sometimes and it's frustrating when members such as Special1 try to read more into it and point the finger.

I think you have to be honest and think whether you might have over-reacted a bit, maybe a bit defensively. Sometimes comment is just comment and possibly if you just left out that little bit of "acid" at the end as Horace calls it we'd all get on more pleasantly, which we have to be fair over the last couple of days.

Sometimes mistakes are just mistakes and we live with the consequences.

Loosely - There is no reason at all why we all shouldn't get along like a house on fire and hopefully members from the pointless breakaway Forum would then return in their droves, however I don't actually feel that I am saying anything I wouldn't do normally and to someone's face. The trouble is that we are far too Politically correct and touchy these days and, as a result, take comments that are close to home too personally rather than laugh them off.

But then you have a pop at people on another forum, you have a wee pop at me, its an endless merry-go-round sometimes.

Don't you sometimes feel that we'd better spend our time mending bridges then burning them?

I feel that people very much appreciate your updates on match reports and results, its your more divisive posts that people can do without.

Banter is good, acid bad. Just say no Rhodes.

Djibril, or are you Special1 - Have you been charged by the SSML as yet for allowing your supporters to climb over the railing and invade the pitch in the game against Tokyngton Manor

Rhodes, has your club been contacted yet by the SSML or even the FA yet over your disgraceful racist remarks?

Loosely - Why would it, everyone I have spoken to says that my comments relating to the disgraceful scenes at the Sport London e Benfica v Tokyngton Manor fixture were not racist. Anyway you're very quiet, clearly the 2-0 defeat at 'the mighty' Dunton yesterday has hit you hard.

I was at the game yesterday Tokyngton Manor v Cockfosters FC in the FA Vase, I had taken my grandson out for the afternoon, great game to watch, Cockfosters should have won and there was some good football played by both teams, the game was very much marred at the final whistle by disgusting behaviour by 3/4's of the Tokyngton Manor players who decided to become thugs instead of players when one of their players stormed of the pitch to return with a metal post to fight one of the Cockfosters players, the Tokyngton Manor captain was also a disgrace along with their so called supporters (who had invaded the pitch just to look for trouble)and other players who had also got involved and was just looking for trouble. Good for Cockfosters who did not get involved and was briskfully taken to the changing rooms by their management. Lets hope that the referee reports the matter as this should not be able to take place by any team, the league has also got to stand up and be counted on trouble like this!!!!!!
