Manager resigns...

I never buy into this lack of passion/motivation stuff.

I am convinced the players go out every game totally committed to win/draw-or whatever the instructions are.

The more i consider things, the more it seems to come down to that bit of luck either way-and above all-who gets the first goal.

How many games are won by the side who look outplayed for the first 20 mins-get a breakaway goal -and then look world beaters.

When you are one of many teams -much of a muchness in midtable-its often just who gets the breaks at the right times-is that why we so often comment-anyone can beat anyone.

Admittedly-the top3/4 teams and the bottom 3/4 teams are normally beaten /win on merit-but in the middle-its so often who gets the breaks.

Had we scored first v Cray-or indeed harrow-the result could have been very different-and in both games it seems we were certainly on a par in those early stages of the game.

Thus-is the challenge for TY to get us to up the tempo in the first quarter to make a better attempt at securing the first goal ?

Seriously Phil, as far as I know he takes the coaching side of it, fitness etc. He also does hell of a lot behind the scenes too like the Margate Learning Zone.

I don't recall any post on moday along those lines ITH.

There were some posts questionning tactics/formations etc.and sharing in the same disappointment that TY himself expressed in his post match interview but thats a long long way from the type of you suggest was posted ITH

(thank goodness )

The players are clearly struggling with 3-5-2 (or 5-3-2, or wingback system, whatever you call it).

We should go back to 4-4-2 as soon as possible. Even then it will take a few games to settle down, but at least everybody on the pitch will know what they are supposed to be doing.

No need for the manager to resign!

I dont think the question was raised of the manager resigning Chris1, cookies post referred to the Carlshalton manager. If the manager wants to play a wingback formation, what I was suggetsing was either pushing someone up or pulling someone back to link defence and midfield. Who at the club could play that position?

Worked alright last season though with ostensibly the same players .

Everything will be fine-we're over the worst of injuries and suspensions (and now have both more quantity and more quality to cover future injuries/suspensions.)

Give it a couple of more games to settle and all will be good.

When you think about it-its amazing how disruptive Lacys suspension has been-thats created the imbalance and we had morris/corbishly and robinson out at the same time who play similar roles.

A simple thing like that has been a major contributor to this disruption-hopefully big lessons learnt-we can't afford suspensions-particularly when they are for stupidness like lacy's undoubtedly was.

verdict-all Lacy's fault-lol
