Manager resigns...

So all not well behind the scenes at Carshalton then. Shame, I always enjoy watching them. They play some of the best football in the league. Can't believe he'll be without a job for too long.

Cookie that was a dirty trick. I know a lot of people have been complaining about T.Y. but he must have some idea about what he is doing, you dont make it as an national team manager without knowing football

Agree Alan. I think TY would love to have more time with the players. That's the biggest bridge he's had to cross I think. I'm sure he touched on it in his early interviews with Wellsie when he took the job on.

TY and NS need a little bit more time to find their strongest line-up, and the players need to do their bit by fighting for every point going. Once we're settled I think we'll be ok.

He's only ideas involve playing his best players out of position. I wouldn't be surprised if Mullins made an appeance in midfield at this rate...

Ok, so the squad is limited, but as I said somewhere else, the formation isn't working. That means he needs to change the formation, not try out every player in a different position in the current formation, which is what he seems to be doing

Changing the formation is going to bring instant rewards is it? Even without the personnel to play it.

Have a word with TY yourself.

Alan thanks for your answer but then the question comes why are they so commited against Aveley and Boreham wood and then a week later not showing it? Is it a lack of morale?

I completely agree that every player can have a bad game, but it does seem worrying that missing key players affects the team so badly. As an aside, I know its not real but I play football manager a lot and you can very easily get stuck in a groove as a manager of playing a certain formation and trying to get the players to play in that formation no matter what. We all know T.Y. is not the youngest manager in the game, could this be affecting his thinking?

Maybe not, but there's only one way to find out...

And surely it's worth giving something else a try as we're struggling to score, and letting in plenty

Not at all. I believe there's mitigating circumstances. The starting eleven is constantly changing. When you're in a settled side everyone knows their roles. In a team that's constantly changing it's a lot tougher. Injuries and suspensions contributed heavily IMO.

We're going to struggle with current personnel (Wilson, Healy), if we don't have a midfielder behind them. Therefore a change in formation wouldn't work, would it?

Is the team playing in a 3-5-2- formation or a 5-3-2- formation? Depending on the way we are trying to play then maybe a minor formation change is all thats missing? Would the team benefit from changing to 4-1-3-2? Are we gaining anything from having wide players in the team? I am completely happy with T.Y. in charge and am in no way attempting to attack him or his style of management, but as stated elsewhere I cant get to the matches myself and I am asking these questions in the interests of gathering opinions so dont expect everyone to have the same opinion
