A great sunny day for the trip to Hornchurch for Dartford's travelling army, despite what it says on the biased match report the Darts outnumbered the Urchins.

Many of us had a pre match drink in the town center due to the appalling service we recieved last season.

But on to the match, and what can i say about the pitch other than it defy's the trade description act!! Long grass out on the wings and bone dry in the middle, has it seen a sprinkler this summer?

But not to worry as Hornchurch don't use the grass much as they prefered the Hoofball tactic almost for the entire match.

Can someone let me know where the sniper was, as the Hornchurch players were dropping like fly's hell bent on freigning injuries. The number 9 got 10 out of 10 for artistic impression falling to the ground at every oportunity cries of "cheat" must still be ringing in his ears.

6 minutes of injury time had to be played at the end of the 1st half, mainly due to treatment to the delicate Hornchurch players.

The pitch was so bad both linesmen had to recieve treatment for simply running up and down the touchline, never have i seen that before in all the years i have watched football.

So to sum up, you can now get back to your 200+ average gates and enjoy the hoofball type of anti football that will win few friends, and even fewer matches.

No matter how much humor is injected into your match reports the fact that dagger04 is a slimy weasely kent is very hard to disguise!

No one loves a quisling.

Seems to be a nice bloke to me, I don't have a problem with him. As for the match reports, it's like complaining about a programme you don't like, you don't have to watch.

I'll keep reading and enjoying but thanks for your input.

quisling = libelous.... really?

I think what sticks in Lightweight, and others' craw, is that the ex-Dagenham, Redbridge Forest, Dagenham & Redbridge, Romford and now Chins' fan (more clubs than Mickey Rooney has had wives, then again there is a striking similarity between them), is quite happy to add top spin re support in his usually well-written match reports.

But starts moaning when people take exception to some of the content of his tomes.

Proven by the fact that his latest offering was locked immediately.

This is very true.. but I woudn't expect a similar thing on our forum to be ignored by messrs Bat Ears, Greasy Greasy Spot Spot and Double Barrel.

Good forum banter is healthy (and life wouldn't be the same without UM's early morning drunken rants)...long may it continue.. smile
