What else can I say Tom? other than nighty night.

Great win today, looking forward to Saturday's game, i'll take another single goal leaue victory but would pay double for cushion of a goal or two with at least 15 to go.

I wouldn't be surprised if a couple of players left soon, Steve and Del have clearly assembled a strong squad and from the past few games Ive seen, a lot of Rotation has Occurred maybe if a few players left we could have a more settled starting 11.

but we have a solid start this year so the managers are obviously doing something right !!

what are everyones views on the players who have come in for Rudi, Dave and the others who look out of favor ??

Up the Town !!

On performances alone,i feel it was slightly harsh for Rudi and Allen to be dropped from the starting 11 so soon into the season. But the new management are obviously going to favour the plapyers they have brought in and who they have worked with before. Also feel its a shame that a role couldn't have been found for a young talent like Marshall.

About time we had a debate on the new management and teal sections.

The new management seem very focused and an ability to judge this level of footy very well.

The 'back 3' is a new formation which is proving effective and but for the wayward finishing v's Ilford would had looked even more a successful system to date, although I prefer 4 at the back 5 in the middle with the two wide men making us a 3 pronged attack when in possession. But we'd get 100 different views if we asked 100 different individuels, however, I can relate to the system the management are playing to date. It'll be more interesting when we come up agains stiffer oppo's than the ones we have had to date, what I mean by that is that there are better teams to play.

Defending v's Tilbury was woeful and both Allen and Rudi were substituted that game after Stuart Blackburne was sent off. Titchy in central midfield is a lot quicker and tenacious than Rudi and Mackay is a very able defender, however I think Allen and Rudi both have a big role to play, should they seek to fight for there places and earn selection rather than feel they are automatic choices, a problem that both had coping with last seasons management.

I think that Luke should try a new club where he'll get regular footy and increase his experience without being mucked about, possibly dropping to step 5 where he can make some goal scoring noises and move back up a step or two in a season or so.

We are looking solid at the mo, although still early doors, If I had one wish it would be to have a player or two with raw pace in an attacking position, but in the meantime Roberto, Fabio, Adam and Stuart are working well together.

I'm giving the first 5 league matches and FA Cup tie a grade B in these exam result days with another assessment at the end of sept.

I'd rather see it as favouring their current best players, which is what I think is happening.

I haven't seen a mention of praise for Steve & Del's use of their squad in the two tricky games over the weekend.

Perhaps there ought to be a sweepstake for how many times we'll say something along the lines of 'that would have happened last season [or much of the previous one]'?

For me, a back 5 only works if you play 2 genuine wingbacks.Unfortunately we currently use two traditional full backs that rarely venture into the oppos half.As such having 5 defenders marking no more than 2-3 forwards will always leave us short over the rest of the park.So far our extra quality has been enough to compensate for lack of numbers in the attacking third. Not sure that would be the case when we play other top 6 sides. For me Blower should be first choice in a flat back 4 but Dave Allen should be used on the right if we continue to persist with a back 5.Apart from that small concern and the fact that Valenti is being played out of position,i have been quitely impressed with the new managment.early days still though.
