to surport MFC today , an absolute disgrace . We get the likes of Jamie Lawence to come and help us and he had no service from an absolute s;;t midfield , why Wilson thinks he should be in the starting 11 each week is beyond me . I voted for him last season as he was consistant all the way through a hard season but he has lost his way totally so far this term .

how did you guess Bemused , I can`t understand why Wayne Wilson was so good last yr , he has so much quality and was involved in alot of our goals last season but he has so lost his touch , if only he could find it im sure we would find ourselves climbing the league as he is the kingpin to how we play our game and i would say at least 75% of our build ups come from him .

Nicholls. Very assured in goal. Here's hoping he stays on despite having witnessed that pathetic attempt by the whole outfield, bar a few exceptions.

Lewis not his normal self at all.

Haverson played okay but will back off when someone's running at him.

Robinson, one of only 4 (i.m.o.) to come out with any kind of praise.Worked his socks off.

Wheatley, easily brushed aside for their goal but wasn't in form & hasn't been this season.Played centre back & where Young should have been.

Young, did better than most but being out of position at full back didnt help. Why TY couldnt see this error at half-time & change him & Wheatley round is beyond me.

Healy, worked hard all game though even he missed a one-on one with the keeper.

Wilson, sadly lacking a killer touch these days & needs to shoot at goal more often. Thats his strength. Poor passing today.

Millington, gave the ball away more times than he passed it to his collegues.

West, for such a tall & beefy guy couldn't win anything in the air & was never a threat to the opposition.

Lawrence,simiar game to West.

Nicholls(who had about 3 or 4 efforts to take care of all game),Robinson,Healy & Young the best of a bad bunch today.

Team-wise it was more than poor.It was awful & thats putting it mildy.

You're forgetting one thing mate, we only have 1 midfielder in the team! That's why he plays whether he's playing well or not. Everyone else is either a defender

wayne commanded the midfield last yr and most set pieces free kicks and attacks from midfield were all based around him but so many have said today on the terreces that he is playing so far out of position he has lost all idea of what he`s doing .

If he has been told to play this way then he should be allowed to return to the way he played last season , as other people have stated a few of the squad players have been playing out of there own positions this term even today and if they are able to return to there favoured positions then thats where they should play .

Up the Gate .

He is not the only one being played out of position - Young at right back clearly didn't work - worst game for him in an MFC shirt by far.

Playing two with no pace and a combined age of 76 up front clearly didn't work (surely one of them in a defensive midfield role, thought Lawrence was a midfielder? would have been more beneficial and even one at centre half for Wheatley who was abysmal today - why not change it round at half time?). I know we need some experience but we need the quality to go with it!

Pratt should have been on and playing up front from the start but is left on the bench until 15 mins from the end and is then played in midfield until Lawrence was finally taken off.

Killington - nobody knew who he was or where he had come from but wherever it was he should go back there - awful - again Louis Smith could have filled that midfield berth and given us a bit of bite and allowed Wilson to get forward more.

Of course it's easy critcising the players who should have performed better than they did and yes we did have injuries and suspensions but for me the management team need to take a long hard look at themselves.

They may have big reputations but it doesn't necessarily make them good managers and coaches. There has been ample time and pre season games to get the squad sorted and settled. The wing backs formation doesn't work and constantly playing players out of position is infuriating. I don't know what if any tactics are worked on at the training ground as we seemed devoid of any ideas whatsoever apart from the aimless long balls to "strikers" who cannot win it in the air. The apparently appalling treatment of Mullins says nothing for man-management skills either.

The worst team performance I have seen in over 30 years of watching the Gate. The only consolation is that things can only get better.

It's no wonder that half of the players out there have no confidence if they read this forum. Bet no one had a bad word to say about them when they won two on the bounce. As Steve says in his interview with TY a week is a long time in football.

Would also like to say both Wayne & Curtis were both playing with injuries today, when other players would have just declared themselves unfit they put themselves out there for the team.

Also to the idiots that were standing behind me if you think it's exceptable to call you own player fat you have a funny idea of supporting your team.

Lets hope that's the worst we will see this season, surely the only way is up!!!

I started watching the gate as thanet united and yes things were bad then, but every week the crowd were vocal and the crowd were behind the team. How has our fan base changed so much? I know I cant get to the games because of ill health but I listen in on gate radio and I have never ever heard the ground so quiet. There was more noise when thanet united reserves played ( and yes I used to go to all their games as well). What happened to the famed margate choir and drum? Even Wellsie mentioned it today. What I am trying to say is no matter how bad the team is playing we should all still be behind them not just moaning about them. Give the players a reason to want to play for Margate.
