The thought of a second round tie at home to Boxted Lodges has me salivating..

We went there 4 years ago (Jnr was payng for Bowers' ressies). Just a park pitch wth no clubhouse. It's near Colchester.

Hannakins Farm 2 Rayleigh Town 1

 

3 players sent off,2 from rayleigh & 1 from hannakins farm,referee was being assessed came from newham and had a complete shocker,lost the plot throughout the whole game,god help the teams that get him next week.

Gas Recreation 3 - 0 Basildon Town

 

A very strong Gas Rec won this with plenty to spare. The are a very strong and physical side who can also play some very good football.

 

Town's 3 central defenders of Dean Smith-Shaw, Darren Booth and Billy Moxley were excellent and threw themselves into every block and challenge. The 2 wing-backs of Brogan Wordley and Joe Corey hardly got out of their own half, such was Gas Rec's dominance, and played most of the game as full backs. Young keeper Connor Chilvers also made some excellent saves and could not be faulted for the goals.

 

I predict Gas Rec to go a long way in this competition, they have Epping next which should be a good game.
