Ideal scenario-we have both for the season.

 

West starts with Blackman-batters the opposing defenders into submission for 70 minutes-then is subbed by Dunn who with Blackman reaks havoc with his pace against tired defenders in the last 20 miutes

According to paper today Terry is trying to agree terms with West, Nicholls, Barnard and also Jamie Lawrence. Doesn't say if SW is fit or not.

Would make us a top half table team minimally imo.

 

Just on this occasion-because of the significance of these potential signings-i am sure it would be greatly appreciated by the majority of Margate football club supporters if the club could issue a statement confirming any of these signings ;bothto save conjecture and idle ill informed speculation-and to give all the fans a real boost before the weekends difficult double header.

That seems fair enough, if they do follow up when the forms have been signed. But if we sign players temporarily pending negotiations or on loan why can't they tell us? IE something like 'We are in negotiations with Steve West. He has currently signed to be available for selection for the next fortnight' or
'We have Billy Dunn on loan. He will be available for selection until the end of the month

I agree with BGA - why tell anyone else that we are in negotiations with a player? It would only highlight the fact that the player is available and might do more harm than good. Best to leave it until everything is tied up 100%.

Well no doubt they've seen West, Nicholls and Barnard playing, and they know they're not on contract yet. It's obvious therefore that negotiations are going on with those guys...

Seems that the truth hurts and my statement about the 'Elite' hit home so I have been sent to Coventry for telling the truth. Oh well if it makes small minded little people happy I do not care.

They sent me to Coventry a few years ago and; I survived and I will survive again.
