Desarico, what a good idea!

I'll be giving everyone the pleasure of a report on the 'standard of tea' at Tring, after the match.

I just know you lucky lot can't wait coffee

I have been a Slough Town fan for 45 years and haven't a clue who King Tut is.

Ian et al,sorry don't get it,unless one is in the circle of mates that know each other, how the hell would anyone know who king tut was, or windsor rebel, staines rebel etc etc. Therefore they are just as anon as those they moan about.

You don't have to be in any circle of mates to know who people are. Graham (King Tut, formerly BFR on here) has been posting on this forum for 7 years and has made over 7000 posts. Staines Rebel I've barely ever spoken to but I know who Clive is.

Anyone that has spent any time on the forum will get to understand who regular posters are, even if they are not mates. If you asked me who most regular posters are on here I could probably point them out a game even though I may have never spoken to them before.

Being registered and therefore, probably, being known means your comments can be put in to context. If you post as an anon, or with an alias but deliberetaley try and comceal your identity, the chances are you are going to look a bit of a dick and someone who is posting purely to stir up an argument.

If you believe in the comments you are posting and have valid reasons for them even if they differ from other people's, then you gain far more credibility by registering and not hiding who you are.

Come and see me at Tring. My name, surprisingly, is Ian and I'll be with my wife and four kids, one of whom will probably be wearing a very bright pink Rebels shirt. Come and say hello and I'll point out who King Tut and Staines Rebel are, assuming they are there.

I agree with Ian.

I find it particularly confusing when an anonymous poster says one thing, another anonymous poster says something else and a third gives yet another opinion.

Are they 3 different posters? Has one of them changed their minds? It realy does make any discussion difficult to follow, so I tend not to bother reading anonymous posts, and just glance at them.

Neeskins, by using a name, is at least identifiable should he/she reply. That way any poster will be able to know if they are talking to the same person.

Sorry couldn't make the game today, but to follow your drift and to prove MY point, next game I will bring me dad along, I am sure you know him, after all he stands out in a crowd of 200.

Apparently when he was a young boy at the 1973 amateur cup final, roughly 40,000 crowd, someone came up to him and said aren't you young Neeskins ? Now you understand my point perhaps and the futility of yours and staine's reposts.

Back on topic...

A much improved performance from the last one I saw (I missed last saturday and tuesday's matches)- O'Connor and DJ look much better as a pair upfront and Sealey ran well on the left wing. Sinclair was awesome again as was NBH, and Edwards looked much better - totally see what everyone was saying last week about him picking himself up and getting on with the job after a nightmare moment a few weeks ago.

A good, solid win boys. Bring on the Hemel!

Ok let me explain you said " You don't have to be in any circle of mates to know who people are ", which of course you realise is a ridiculous statement, why should any person not involved with your group of mates, or anyone much younger or older know you or want to know you.I have myself been going to football many years but don't know the names of people I have nothing to do with. And having seen many of staines rebel's childish posts on here, would not want to know who he is.I assume you are bright enough to get my point really, or are your mates and yourself all similar to staines rebel ?

neeskins your statement is blather, of course you can know who someone is without being directly involved with their circle of friends, you know members of the team /management you know lots of people but i bet you are not in all of their circle of friends are you, or are you so shy that you cannot bring your self to find out who people are, and when i think about it you are amongst friends when you take part in this web site.

I think you've forgotten your original point? You claimed that registered users of this forum (King Tut, Staines Rebel etc) are as anonymous as those who choose to conceal their identity. That's not true as it is very simple, if you want to, to find out who they are. I even offered you the chance yesterday to introduce you to them. I'm sure if you asked Staines Rebel to meet you in the bar at half time so you could introduce yourself he'd be more than willing. That hardly counts as anonymity.

You don't have to be mates. I already said that I've barely ever spoken to Clive but know who he is and that he posts as Staines Rebel. I know who Heavy Trucker is but have never spoken to him. Wayne, Descario, Grandad, Bernie Grogan, Reading Rebel, Brummie Rebel are just some of the users on here off the top of my head I've almost never even spoken to but I could point them out at a game. Why? Because I've asked various people who's such-and-such on the forum so I can put their comments into context.

In a crowd of 200 people, many of which have been posting on this forum for years, it's very easy to find out who people are. Surely you know Gary? He can probably tell you who every registered forum user is if you wanted to know.

Comments like "I'm sure you are bright enough..." do nothing to enhance the reputation of unregistered or anonymous users. I'll reiterate my offer - come and see me at the next home game and I'll point out those users I know.
