west ham vs millwall

Just listened to that Yorkie w@nker Darren Gough on talkSHIT radio...says that they (yobs arrested at West Ham) should all be shipped out to Afghanistan for two years.

So you a bit of a ruck with your local rivals' fans and as punishment you are sent 5,000 miles to kill people..quality...

Didn't see the Beeb headlines coming... will this scupper our 2018 World Cup chances?

Are they not allowed to comment on next year's WC being staged in one of the hell holes of the world? More murders per capita than Iraq and an infrastructure to match.. just wait till an English fan gets, mugged, raped, robbed or worse and the bleeding hearts will coming charging out of the woodwork.

To me it was no worse than what goes on every Saturday night in most English towns....

The person I feel sorry for is Jack Collison.

The young lad showed great dignity and bravery to play so soon after his father died in a motorcycle crash and really shouldn't have been playing last night.

Goodness knows what he must have thought of the thugs who ran on the pitch.

On a sad night, Mr Collison was a credit to West Ham football club.

Last time I'm posting on this as I don't want to bore people.

Firstly, I totally agree with Jack Collison. He was even trying to usher people off the pitch.

Just to clear up what I meant yesterday.

If you go to a football match with the sole intention of having a fight and either don't consider or don't care about the damage you are doing to the reputation of the club them IMO you don't deserve to be considered a fan of that club.

West Ham certainly agree, that's why they are in the process of putting lifetime bans into place for some of the culprits on Tuesday.

I wonder how many of those so called fans would have turned up if West Ham had played someone like Barnsley on Tuesday.

It wasn't the greatest day in West Ham's history, but don't blame the genuine fans for it, blame the minority (as always) of idiots.

West ham are to blame as much as the so called fans.

They allowed a film about west hams hooligans called green street, they could of stopped the film going ahead.

They also have official book signings at the club and their supporters club for ex hooligans

Lets face it,its the old east london mentality of having a ruck while downing a pot of jellied eels just before banging on the liquor on their pie and chips.

They like a fight or at least like to look hard, the club is the same

Same as Chelsea - Millwall with the Football Factory Rob although it does still baffle me that the clubs involved appear to give the green light on such projects. Or is there a law which prevents them opposing it? Can't see it myself but don't know enough to make that call.

Was there on Tuesday and feel that too much has been made of what happened inside the ground. Fans should not enter the field of play but the only way to stop that is put fencing back up but the we don't want another Hillsborough on our hands.

End the end of the day, it was a one off and probably not committed by any/many regulars. Never seen it before and have had an s/t for years.

It was what was happening outside that bothers me and the club can't be held responsible for that.

If people want to fight then let them get on with it I say. Just give a specially designated hall or field and keep it away from people who actually want to watch football.

That is all.

there was trouble the last couple of times they played.

I remember seeing west ham fans kicking off at millwall in the ground and about 200 millwall fans getting knicked on the way to west ham with an array of weapons the british army would be proud of in the returning league fixture.

chelsea, west ham & millwall are the 3 clubs that seem to turn a blind eye to the fims being made about sections of their fans.

Other clubs like cardiff, forest, stoke, birmingham, leeds etc etc have had troubles over the past but don't seem to thrive on the notorioty like the london clubs

Tottenham are also another club to have let their pony tailed firm leader use their name for his own notorioty, while allowing book signings in their stores

I think its just a london thing,well kent,essex,herts thing!

agree with raver, west ham can't be held responsible for the police failing to prevent riots outside the ground even though they'd flagged it up as high risk as soon as the draw was made.

the guardian even have cass pennant writing about it who blames the police relying on cctv to act after the event rather than get stuck in to prevent rival fans coming together. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/aug/27/west-ham-millwall-cass-pennant

think west ham will be hit with a fine for failing to prevent fans getting on the pitch but as they'd followed police advice to the letter, i don't think closed doors or expulsion will happen.

If anyone has a chance to read today's telegraph article on the subject of rather large forty something fellas wearing football shirts, who usually spout the immortal words 'you're not fit to wear the shirt'...... oh the iron-eee!!

It's quite amusing reading but sadly not on the net for some strange reason.
