I'm surprised at the suggestion that Jamie be dropped. I think he is playing well with Shinny. And we're creating chances with those two in the middle...

 

As regards putting David Wareham in against Tonbridge, yep...I would. Then again, Fergie is playing as a wing back for the Angels and he didn't like the defending side of that game when he was with us, so that will be interesting. Spencer can also defend and if we had to, I would bring him on make that change if we were winning but Tonbridge were pushing us.

 

I would give Baker a start but it does depend on his fitness as he is recovering from flu (not the pork variety, I hasten to add). I also agree that Yiga should have at least a start but too many changes to a team that is starting to gell would be a ballsy move, especially against Tonbridge. I would keep the changes down to one with players coming on and doing their bit during the game.

 

Still, it is easy to be a "touchline" manager...I'm looking forward to both Bank Holiday games and with the depth in our squad think that most players will be given their chance to play.

interesting point ray, and one i've pondered, (the captaincy, not droping him) I've always thougt Jamie was a natural leader, and as such it should make no differece if he has the arm-band or not, maybe he is 'trying' not lead and this has had an affect on his game. Idealy we would have a whole team of leaders

IMO we need to get the balance right, strong attacking players with a mixture of flair in midfield and a well structured defense, if we can get that right we can start to fire on all cylinders, for me we don't create enough real chances and the ones we do we, don't finish, maybe bringing a new face at this point would be a good call - the team that has started all 4 games are not the finished article and yiga or muir may be the missing piece of the jigsaw, sullivan has good pace but does he have end product? this remains to be seen,
