AFC Hornchurch and the mystery points

Marathon Man

Recommended Posts

It was my understanding that AFC Hornchurch went into Administration back in May, surely this means that under F.A rules they should have started the season on minus 10 pts. Looking at the league table this appears not to be the case. Can anyone shed some light as to why the points have not been deducted. Is it that they are appealing or what?

Am sure that is not the case especially as it was mentioned on yr forum that you had gone into Admin before the season started. For myself I hope all is sorted out as I do with us too.

it's my understanding that when a club goes into administration, that's when the 10 points is deducted. for entering administration. it's my understanding that when a club is deducted points and decides to appeal the decision, then they are not temporarily handed back.

if there has been no points deduction, then my deduction is that the club is not in administration.

whether or not the club is applying to, or is in the process of it, i have no idea but would have thought you lot would be the first to know. smile

Bit pointed by you Serge??

I believe MM only asked because it was on the forums pre season saying that you had gone into Admin losing 10 points and now tables are showing this is not the case.

Certainly no harm meant in the thread by MM am sure and as you are in same league plus we have had a close relationship between the two clubs in the past seems reasonable someone did ask.

Anyways good luck for the season and I do hope all goes well not just for you but us too.

we were told by someone who we thought was involved with the club that we had gone into admin, this turned out not to be the case and those persons suddenly didn't want anything to do with the club,at the present moment we are not in admin and may not go into admin, but who knows, depends on who takes over the club.At the moment the club is making ends meet
