Yes tonight was rather fustrating, even more so the fact that we was 2-0 up when the site went down!

I thought about this last night actually, I will look into setting up a new one asap.

It's not been customised yet, but I've knocked this up so far, and will be working on it in the next few days as backup/replacement for the current forum if people want:

Chris, How about this for an idea - Twitter. It'll require someone to set up a Twitter page and distribute the password and logon details to various supporters who are attending matches. Those fans will need a PDA in order to send tweets.

I must admit I have set up a few over the last couple of years but as all were on free hosts, when there has been a period of inactivity they get deleted so none of them stay around for long.

I have got another one that is half set up from just before summer but other things took up my time and thats the way it stayed!

looks a nice forum, it has a small easy layout and is much faster than this.

As I said, if people feel like using it it's there, and I can customise to pretty much fit with what ever people need, and it does seem to load much faster than this one, if not there is always this one for people to use!

Thanks MargateMan, for your link. It works a treat with my mobile. Will give it a proper test on Saturday with updates. As you say, the URL is a bit strange, but what the hey if it works.

 

Also Jake, your efforts much appreciated and will have a look at yours when it is up and running.

 

As regards Twitter, thanks for the suggestion Jeremy. I checked it out and I am sure it would work purely for posting updates, but it doesn't seem to have the facility for general discussion. So too much of a blog, not enough of a message board, if you see what I mean. Mind you, it looks like an ideal vehicle if you want to know what mini-slebs are doing at any given time.
