How many are Southill Alex expecting for their big match on Saturday?

 

I had heard that just 2 club officials were expected to be in attendance to run the show, but then you can't believe everything you hear I suppose.

 

It will be interesting to see the public turnout though. I suppose it's something that can be built on as time goes on, but then I wouldn't really know about these things. How much is it to get in?

AFCKT, I can understand where you're coming from, but it seems you've a gripe with the Beds League. We had nothing to do with any of this. It's a Step 7 League, we applied, got accepted and we will charge a small fee for admission with free programme. Nothing is stopping any other club doing this. Plus we are taking each team we play seriously. We are not assuming that we will "walk" the league. And if any of our players do "showboat", (which I think they will not), our Manager knows the owners views on that and take appropriate measures.

Britman - I see from the above that you also post on another's Forum and appear to be a partner in crime with Loosely where Southill Alexander are concerned. How can you say that the poster AFCKT has a gripe with the Bedfordshire League as he certainly doesn't, he appears to be a good honest poster who simply has grave concerns about the way Southill Alexander have been allowed to ride roughshod over the League and it's other member Club's.

I am astonished at this. I don't know what you are on at the moment Cliff, but you seem to have gone absolutely bonkers. Not content with libelling us a few days ago, you are now suggesting that our club has committed some other imagined "crimes". Let me put you straight once and for all (and for the benefit of anyone else who reads your posts) - we simply applied to join the Bedfordshire League in the normal way, we completed the necessary documentation in the normal way, we were interviewed by League officials in the normal way, and we paid our

Another lie from you, Cliff. As the person who dealt with the SSML, I can categorically state that all our documentation was approved by their Management Committee during the course of a six-month period and I still have the emails which were sent to me. As I have had nothing in writing from them about the outcome of our application to join, I can only go by what was said to me on the phone by an SSML official at the time, and his explanation was perfectly reasonable in my opinion.

Loosely - Not at all, I'm more than happy to bury the hatchet if you are.
