just a thought. Is it more the system the players are being told to play that is why we seem to be struggling so far this season and to be fair the last few weeks of last season. Think someone on this said we were playing a 3-5-2 system now I'm no expert but players seen to be playing out of their normal positions struggling and not happy. At present it seems we cannot feed the forwards and Lloyd and co are getting frustrated at lack of service and when the opposition break the defence struggles. Maybe revert to the good old 4-4-2 see how it goes!

My thoughts exactly mate! Try the fancy stuff when the team is settled, not when the guys are just getting to know each other.

Maybe T.Y. does not think he has the players who can successfully play 4-4-2? Or maybe as 4-4-2 is such a recognised and standard formation, especially in the lower leagues that T.Y. thinks we have more chance of playing something tactically different and maybe putting other teams out of their rythmn, although maybe we need to get better at it ourselves before that works properly

now we have west as a target we need to be getting more decent crosses in so 4-4-2 will be far more successfull

thats football Ian and to be fair the players are only on loan. It's now up to KP to show his worth when the chance comes as I'm sure it will. Still think the system needs to be looked at though and if things don't happen (points)its gona be 'catch up' yet again and that's just to get mid table and above the drop zone. Yes it's early days but the matches come thick and fast and before you know it ur in the mix.

To me,the players settled quite well to 3-5-2 last season,and it was quite a settled system.

 

 

i think TY has sometimes gone 3-5-2 and at others 4-4-2 this season.

 

I thought it got a bit muddled on saturday though -for the first 20 mins, i thought we had 3 at the back and looked fairly secure.

Then Lacey seemed to drop deeper to be fair-their No4 Morgan -was quite dangerous,so i can see why that happened-but the troble was,Lacey and Smith then got slightly in each others way at times and to me ,the certainty of who was going to get the man went-at least when you have 3 at the back-you have no choice-you \have to go for the ball yourself.

Nothing wrong with that-you change the system to suit who you \have in the team and who the opposition have.

I like the idea of a holding midfield player-and until his injury-i thought robinson excelled in that position on saturday-when he went off-thats when we lost the midfield and were overun.

Seriously concerned that without him we will be in trouble.I always thought we were a central midfield player short-even more so now with Curtis badly injured.

Maybe Morris or Ben Lewis can do the holding midfield role
