It's plainly obvious that our best is yet to come, and I for one can't wait until it does.

I thought Barton were a half decent attacking team, it was only their defence that really let them down.

They are a young team that, full credit to them, kept going to the end.

They maybe deserved another goal, but we certainly deserved to score at least another 2 or 3 and ran out worthy winners.

3 points against Leighton sets us up nicely for the FA cup game against Tring.

Having watched from covered end for much of the 2nd half, and remembering some of their missess from the 1st half, Barton's passing in the final third was abysmal. On at least 3 occassions they hit the ball out into the terraces from the right wing whilst under absolutly no pressure. They missed at least one chance where it was easier to score. Some of their shooting left alot to be desired as well. Really, had they had their shooting boots on, we wouldn't have had the confidence to go on and get 5, and we would have been thrashed.

Not too sure your thinking is very logical Nathan.

If Barton had scored some goals in the first half when the game was more even how do you know how we would have responded?

We might even have scored more than the 5 we got because we were under more pressure to score. You just don't know.
