Cove conceded very early by a mistake at the back. We then hit the post twice, scored a goal that was harshly ruled offside, the keeper then made 2 worldys, we then got a penalty that was saved, we then missed a 1 on 1 after going around the keeper and at a tight angle missed an open goal. 2nd half we scored again which was given offside, the keeper made another worldy from a free kick that was going in the corner. Chessington scored from a free kick 35 yards out. 0-2 We then scored form a corner. 1-2. Threw everyone forward and with seconds remaining they got a break away goal. 1-3.

 

We had 10 or 11 good chances and chessington had 4 and scored 3.

Unfortunately one of those days...... Man of the match was their keeper!

Molesey grabbed a late eqauliser that was down to slack marking, it was the first error the astute defence had made. Azeem also had a goal ruled out for offside when he was two yards on. Blason got our goal from the spot.

Didn't play that well today.

Thought Knaphill looked a very decent side and will be up there if they play like they did in the first half.

We were 3-1 up and I thought they would still win. How funny games change, second half and we were all over them!

Lets hope they get the lights and stand and push for promotion.

Oh and well done Hartley, 5-3 at Knaphill....great result

WOW.

What a difference a few days make.

 

Going into todays game I would have put money on Bedfont belting half a dozen past us today. But what a surprise. 25 minutes gone and Croydon were 0-2 down. Then Murdoch battled a goal in.

 

Second half Matt Longhurst took a gamble with 3 subs at once. the final score did the Trams no justice. 3-3. They could have been the team with the 100% record not Bedfont.

 

GREAT performance in the second half.

I've finally realised it is the 22nd August, not the 21st!

 

Decent game at Chertsey with the expected outcome. Was 0-0 at half time but you felt once Chertsey got one they would get more and so it turned out. Just uploading the highlights to youtube now, worth a watch if I do say so myself

 

It's set to be a long hard season for the Chicks....

So looking through this thread I get the impression that

 

Cove couldnt hit a barn door from 10 yards. 10 or 11 good chances but only 1 goal. Need a look at their attack.

 

Ash a similar story. Could only score from the penalty spot.

Unadventful first half for all ....

Then the Moles for some reason?? spent the whole game hoofing the ball, which made it easy for the Ash defence to get on. Ash didn't look dangerous up front at any point in this game, so I think the even result of a draw was fair.

Good game at Badshott lea with the score ending up 3-3 with Horley.

Think a draw was about fair both teams could of won it, some great football played by both sides.

Funny impression Kroons.......

 

Hit the post twice - scored 2 goals that were shockingly given offside - keeper made 2 or 3 worldy saves including a penalty save.

 

Wasnt the case of a barn door...... we hit the barn door 3 times which made the net bulge and the keeper stopped the others filling the barn - the chessington goal had a charmed life which included 11 chessington players and a linesman standing on the goal line keeping the other 8 or 9 efforts out.

 

On a good day we would have been 5 goals clear by half time.

 

An average day the score at the end of the game would have been 5-3.

 

We had a very unlucky day in front of goal and chessington scored 2 amazing goals. Thats just the way the cookie crumbles.

 

Nothing wrong with the performance though.

 

Fa cup for us on Saturday Kroons......

 

Yes this was a bite but in my defence, i have to go food shopping in half an hour with my 3 year old. Just me and her. The wife is doing a car boot sale!!

Dont think i could ever use the fa cup as an excuse. The greatest and most famous cup competition in the world ever..........

Looking at the attendances from yesterday, 98 at Chertsey but it looked like about 35 to me. Rest must of stayed in the bar! Lowest crowd in either division was 20 at Cove - misprint??

This was all in the first 20 mins i think!!

 

2 - 3 at HT! Could have been 6-6 tho!!!

 

Second half was one way traffic and we could have scored alot more! Knaphill scored in the last min to make it 3-5.

 

Knaphill started really well although you wouldnt believe it from the first half score line. On another day they will score more from the chances they created and IMO will be up there in May!!

 

Great result for us role on sheerwater saturday!
