What about our goal that was never given, which seemed clearly over the line to me.

Just got back from the game-still picking myself up off the floor having rode our luck and for once-got the rub of the green.

 

Heres how i saw it-first 20 mins -played well -shows how important first goals are-we 'almost' scored-and deserved to for some good play.

As ever in most games, the 'other team than get into the game-and as in this case scored-i was down that end-and closer to the goaline than linesman and ref-not clearcut to me that it was over the line-and the ref and linesmen definately had a worse view-surely MFC should have had benefit of doubt.

 

BW then became bouyed and should have had a second before half time when we avoided tackling their playerwho'beat' about 5 of ours-at leasat we did not give a penalty away though ,and allowed him to miss !!

BW should have been 2-0 up.

 

second half- Robinson-who i thought did an excellent job as a holding midfield player-winning aerial midield ball, tackling and breaking up play gets badly injured and goes off.MFC lose complete control of midfield and second half is all BW. (ok-he misplaced a couple of passes-but no-ones perfect)

Wilson cannot run midfield on his own.He's good-but not that good-help him and you get more out of him.

 

BW score a goal that was a pefectly good goal.

(apart from the fact that it was a good goal-why did Mullins not come for the corner-and/or how did our defenders allow their striker to make a good header from edge of 6 yard box.

 

It was a bit like the seige of alamo with BW creating skillfully lots of chances and skying them all over bar.

92 minute-we score the winner and hold on.

 

We were lucky.

But who cares-we deserve some luck.

 

I always thought we would struggle in first 3 games against good sides.

I thought BW were a good side.

 

I do not think at the moment that MFC are as good as BW.

However, i am confident that we will be mid table and that we have the makings of a fairly good side already.

I am happy with the team in the main.

 

I believe we now have the nucleous of 9/10 very very good players-top hal;f finish quality.once we get injuries and suspensions-the others are not quite at the same level-but still good enough for lower mid table.

TY does have some work to do to turn the good individual players into a good team/unit;and again we deperately need to get one more quality player to work alongside wayne in central midfield

I wasn't at the game due to work commitments, however have spoken to a few people since. I was one of the first to moan about the performance of Pat Mullin against Dartford and having listened to peoples views on the game i would like to congratulate Pat on what sounds like a much improved prformance from him. Well Done Pat lets hope you have another good game against Averly and that your defence holds tight to take pressure off you.

certainly didnt deserve the 3 points but who cares, got to disagree with you MM goal was not given for handball by their striker who was booked seemed fair to me, Brnard looks a good signing, thought that curtis showed he wasnt and isnt a midfielder but what do I know !good luck tonight

All see things different-never saw the handball myself -looke good goal to me.

 

I thought curtis did excellent in holding midfield role-won headers(in midfield area 9second ball ), some good tackles in midfield -breaking up their attacks,some simple passes out of danger (yes some misplaced ones aswell-but thats why he plays in the ryman and not the premier league).

 

Do you think it is coincidence that as soon as Curtis left the stage-we lost complete grip in midfield because WW cannot do it all on his own,and BW had wave after wave of attack-because Curtis was not there to break it up ?
