Apparently the draw has been made, anyone know who we will be playing in our defence of the esteemed trophy.

This year it is called the invitation cup which means it isnt compulsory anymore.

Have checked the B&B website and there are no draws on there yet, but it does show Maidenhead as the holders????

The Bracknell forum claims to have the first round draws.

No sign of Windsor, so maybe as holders we'd get a bye; and perhaps even Marlow might as losing finalists: but I'm surprised if the third bye goes (presumably) to Slough, I don't see any special reason for that.

Of course it could just be random, or even completely incorrect.

 

Mal, I agree there's no sign of any fixtures on the B&B site so I guess they didn't get them online.

Strange that this was posted Monday morning and I have yet to receive any news of the draws.

 

These are normally sent out to all teams registered with the B&B, of which my Sunday team is, with all the draws.

 

Also when the B&B forms came out there was no mention of it being invitational that I can remember.

 

I will check at the club tonight.

If it is invitation we could see the end of Mk dons and wycombe which would be a shame, i presume Reading pay the fine for not entering it or am i wrong.

Reading opted not to play in the competition a few seasons ago and probably accepted the fine each year.

 

If it is invitational then I don't think we have seen the end of Wycombe as, if this draw is correct, they are in it.

 

As for MK Dons, maybe they thought it wasn't worth the aggrovation.

TRS- MK fans were a credit to their club so you'll find no hate for them here.

 

I 100% agree the farce should never of happened but i dont have a time machine so lets all move on! I personaly think in a few seasons AFC will be in a stronger position than if they'd of carried on groundsharing at Palace. Truth be told you most likely already are!!

 

Go whinge about them on their own forum if you must!

I believe that when Reading got to the Premiership they were given the option of pulling out of the B&B Cup, more fool them missing out on away days to Abingdon where football dreams are made and hearts are broken. Will we ever experience such footballing nirvana again, to those that were there a raised glass......

Clubs have until September 7th to withdraw if they so wish with no penalty imposed.

 

I'm assuming Reading & MK Dons have already informed the B & B they don't wish to take part as they haven't been included in the draw which is [further withdrawls excepted]:-

I don't see why they call it 'Round 2' when it's the first round, but never mind.
