Keeps - How much of that criteria do John Doyle, Doug Quinnell and Dave Hatt meet.

NewBradwell - Okay lets get back to normality now after Loosely and Special1's nonsense, here are some of my definitions of a good Football Manager:

1. He will protect the best interests of his Club at all times.
2. He will create a solid structure to recruit, select and develop a youth programme which is a must at all Clubs.
3. He will keep up to date with the latest football developments; techniques, tactics and fitness, attending Courses and Workshops where necessary.
4 He will delegate as best he can as he can't do everything on his own as your predessessor Steve Orchard found but there was nobody to delegate to.
5. He will be a friend, father figure and psychologist to his players and there for them 24 hours a day.
6. He will know his best 11 players at all times, will create a flexible tactical system in order to take advantage of his players strengths and weaknesses.
7. He must be a student of the game and an excellent human resources Manager with sound knowledge in conflict resolution and open minded to understanding players from different backgrounds, religions, cultures and races.

I'm sure Paul Connell has all of these attributes and far more besides.

Sorry I meant Craig Connell, it will be interesting to see where he goes next. I've mentioned the vacancy at Crawley Road to Clement Temile but he has set his sights a lot higher than the SSML, he has been there done that and got the tee shirt.

Maybe he might not fancy the challenge at Crawley Road.
How is the other protege of Rhodes Coaching Artistes doing at Mauritius Sports ?

Oh thats right bottom Played 3 lost 3. & I thought all that schooling at Ajax would have prepared him for flair & verve of the Essex Senior League.

Zante - It's still early days in the season, there's a long campaign ahead as you well know.

Was Olympiakos's game at AEK postponed on Sunday due to the fires in Athens, it's a straight forward question so don't read anything into it.

Chappo managed Potton the season before last but came close to relegation, Potton pressed the self destruct button last season and were subsequently relegated.

Cranfield had a good 3-0 win at Ampthill last night post Dean Chapman so this may be the turning point for their season.

Does anybody know what Craig Connell is up to these days, he's too good to be out of the game for long

SteveNBFC - Thanks for that, I'm sure Craig won't be out the game for much longer as he has too much to offer, is he a family man with kids

Craig is a real diamond, it's a shame it didn't work out for him at Cranfield as he had high hopes there
