Roons, you along with Rob Whitton were my favorite officials. Always good for some banter and very rarely had a bad game.

 

I always remember my first season at Eton Manor when we drew with Enfield Town at their place, with them expecting to tonk us. I had been booked early and rightly so by Rob, then made another late tackle and gave the lino some abuse for flagging. Rob politely told me..'Jenko, calm down and don't give me something to send you off for alright......and stop being a mouthy f**ker as well...'...all with a smile on his face. Quality.

 

Shame all officials are not like Roons and Rob.

 

Roons remember the ref who had a shocker against Stansted then walked off after 20mins? Is he still around?
