Essex Senior Cup Draw

Thursday at midday 4 clubs affilated to the Essex FA are not in the draw.

clapton,mauritius,takeley and west ham.

the firet three play in other county cups and for some reason west ham can pick and chose which competitions they compete in while we cant.

don't know if the ruling has changed but you was always allowed to play in another counties senior cup competition as long as you had a letter from your parent county giving permission, but league, cups and parent county matches always took priority

southend and colchester have to enter a team so why not west ham.

West Ham have not entered a team in the Senior Cup (IIRC) since I have been playing in it.....1999 onwards!

 

No need for the fuss now Richard. Would Leyton Orient not fall within these boundaries or are they another County??

 

Also, I reckon West Ham would play in the London Cup if any!!!

We have been lucky to have been drawn at home in each of the FA Cup, FA Vase, Essex Senior Cup, Gordon Brasted Trophy and even the Tolleshunt D'arcy Cup!

Richard, Why were Colchester allowed not to enter it for a number of years and only returning to the competition last season?

Because they were in the Championship for 2 years. Championship and Premiership clubs have an opt out. It is left up to them as to whether they compete or not, but most choose not to.

 

However, at leagues 1&2 entry into your county cup is compulsary.

Same answer with West Ham - Presume Orient play in London Senior Cup.

No, I believe Leyton Orient just pay the fine for not entering the Essex Senior Cup.

Few years ago I remember their ressies-youth team getting smashed by Canvey in the final at Roots Hall.

SORRY Hertfordshire i think u find were in essex dickie and in all the years i have been playing for the club we havent once played in this cup, need 2 get your facts right
