Unlucky last night looked as if we were never going to score even if we played another 90 mins. Andy jones is getting fitter but we looked as if we lacked confidence in the final third. . .

but we do look strong at the back but back 3 tired in the last 20 n made a couple of errors that could of lead to goals.

Anybody have any news on Craig Mckay he looked impressive in pre-season and was a common fixture in the friendlies has he moved on if so who signed him ??

the left back looked very good it was the first ive seen of him and i was impressed !

no need to panic yet guys all the contenders for this year have had worse starts then us.

up the town !!

Can anyone tell me why we have signed 35 players so far this season, and is this the reason why we may be loosing a few players in the next few days, some of which we can ill offord to loose. Everything is not rosy in the Enfield garden.

I'm not sure that it's much different to previous seasons, other than the retained player base was probably the lowest it's ever been. That in itself is consistent with a total regime change at any club.

Of course a number of players will be unhappy not to be in the starting line up/on the bench- in fact if they weren't something would be wrong.

In some cases a little patience is required; I'm not sure that we've seen the regular startng line up yet.

just because 38 players have played in pre season - it has no reference to the numbers signed - in fact some players will have played for more than one club in pre season!

WE have used 20 players in the three games so far - no more or less than average. AS sob says any new regime will bring in their own players - otherwise what would be the point of a new regime.

I am not talking about who has played, i am talking about who has SIGNED, don't get me wrong, steve can sign who he likes, but 35 seems a lot to me. Also just another small point, when you read any threads, or reports, its funny how last years Enfield players, always get high lighted above the ex Wgc and Edgware players. Not worried about Ex leyton players, as they don't count.

But you can only play if you have signed. On the basis that non-contract players only get paid if they play, a manager can in theory sign as many (or as few) players as he likes. I'd be surprised if this season's figure is much different to past ones after two games.

As with each and every season & club it's not a sustainable of fit players to try to keep happy number once the opening games have passed, though. The number will begin to fall soon, without a doubt.
