Can't see why in incidents like that, we can't have a video referee like in Rugby. Referee stops the game and calls for the video, it shows on the big screen as TRY/NO TRY.

 

This incident would've been the perfect opportunity for something like that. Ref stops the game and calls for the video:

 

GOAL - Opposition start from the Centre Circle as normal after conceeding.

NO GOAL - Opposition are awarded a Goal-kick.

 

Nothing wrong with owning up to not being 100%.
