Bristol city v Crystal palace

I take it that if you haven't seen it yet you will at least of heard about freddie sears no goal, which struck the back of the net but wasn't given

If this happened in a game involving hornchurch i would hope common sense prevailed and the goal awarded once a few people had spoken to the referee. At worst the game should be replayed after tv evidence proved it was a glaring error, what do you think???

Neil Warnock was absolutely livid about it. If that had happened to Briistol City, there would have been a riot.

Warnock was justified in his comments. Had the incident happened to Manchester United or Liverpool, we would have pages of debate in the press about goal line technology.

If an incident like this happens at next year's World Cup there'll be trouble especially if it affects one of the bigger nations.

Blatter's comments will be interesting if Brazil are knoecked out of the World Cup by a goal that never was.

It has happened at Man U. Spurs didn't get a replay.

Bristol had a good goal dissallowed for offside when he clearly wasn't.

Justice done in one match.

Warnock should have a go at his defender for the goal they conceded.

thats not in question, the spurs goal was due to the ball being about a foot over the line. This one weren't even close

you can forgive officials for getting things wrong, the spurs one you can forgive the linesman for not being in line, saturdays you can't,he was not payng attention obviously and you can't have officials doing that. For the record,i hate crystal palace

johnson claims the assessor told him that the goal was disallowed for an infringement and that palace owe him an apology. the lino put his flag up after the ball went in.

ref handled the situation terribly and has rightly been benched for 2 weeks.

You cant have replays Rob every time the ref F*cks up. Every game in the country would be a replay from the first game of the season as there are mistakes by the ref in every game. I went to Barkingside v Bowers F.A. Cup games yesterday and a Barkingside player was dragged to the floor by the neck in the area and the ref waved play on. 2-1 to Bowers at the time and then a poss 2-2 if the penalty was given. Bowers then took control and won 4-1. Barkingside would love a replay. The ref f*cked up at Bristol as he did at Barkingside and that is that. Lets face it they do every game i watch.

By the way if the ball had gone in the Hornchurch goal and came with ref waving play on i would expect our players to play on and not own up. The opposition certainly would.

the youngster ref last season. atwell? in a watford match gave a goal when the ball went wide of the post.

again, lino let him down.

if it was hornchurch, then sod the opposition and the spirit of the game. what it boils down to is the laws of the game, and i'd not be happy if we squandered 3 points which could be vital in order to make the opposition fans feel that justice had been done.

if i were a canvey fan, aside from wanting to kill myself for the shame of lusting after family members and pets, i'd have wanted the replay when the lights went out vs margate despite the score.

fact is that crap like this is down to the ref and the powers that be, not the players or the managers to 'put things right'. if there's a big enough noise made about this sort of thing, then there will be a rule change. if not, just get on with it and play to the whistle imo.

same with players going down injured and people screaming for the ball to be put out of play. obviously if the player in posession can see it's a bad one and the ref is unsighted, then boot it out, but play to the whistle. it's the ref's responsibility.

well that's the thing. goal nets were only introduced becausee the ref and lino kept on disallowing goals.

biased bob and blackballed can probably remember when the crossbar was just a bit of white tape...

maybe this incident will bring up the goal-line technology debate again. refer it to the 4th official to see if it's crossed the line...
