Surely gives the chance for player,, manager and club to 'look at' each other.

 

It may also just be giving them the chance to get/keep fit whilst they consider other options.

Jamie lawrence played up front for brentford as well as rankine.rankine and sodje scored both of brentfords goals in the 2-2 draw with southampton at st marys in 5th round of fa cup if memory serves me correctly
