I reckon big 'positive'.

most of us fans probably expected to lose anyway, (but not 4-0 )and above all-TY will have learnt more in that 90 minutes about his players-and likely quality of opposition-than he will in all of the psf's put together.

Talking about "Young", Danny Young is going to be missed in the 1st 3 games & when he comes back our defence will improve dramatically I'm sure of it. We just have to do the best we can until he returns. Yesterday wasn't a good start but even without Danny on Tuesday I'm sure we'll play better & get some points on the board.

Jamie Lawrence is a midfield player who can also play at right back.

4 jamaican caps.

Injury prone and 39 -yes we need experiece and a central midfield player but is he the answer ?

I simply do not know-but TY knows all about him-so who am i to even wonder.

Paul Smith seemed to do ok last season pulling the strings whilst roaming around though for a few games so maybe it would work, and southall (a bit younger ) seems to be doing it at Dover

Massive respect and credit to him for this though whatever:

Hmm! smacks of desperation to me. Youngy will make a huge improvement to our back line when he returns and I feel Lacy will be more effective at full back, where he played last season than in midfield. That would still leaves us light in the middle. What happened to Aaron Beech? There were lots of positives about him pre season. A fit again Corbishley will also improve us but we are still woefully inadequate up front.

I cant see Lawrence playing for us having seen that link above. Seems he's got his hands full enough as it is. But never say never so who knows.Looks like he'd cost a fair bit too judging by that other link. Would we..would he?

Thank you Tony. Thats good to hear. Seems we are getting the experience in but it now needs the youngsters to up their game & take on some of the responsibility themselves & away from those seasoned campaigners.
