Sutton Coldfield v Slough Town

On the face of it a decent point and certainly a fair result but when you're 2-0 and coasting you have to say that's points dropped.

In the second half we sat back either through complacency or lack of fitness and it was always likely they'd get back into the game. Early days but I was slightly disappointed at the lack of chances we created.

Strange game, found ourselves 2-goals ahead at half-time despite not really creating too many chances. Our best period of the match arguably came just before Sutton scored their two goals in the opening minutes of the half.

Yes, two points dropped when you have a two-goal lead at half-time, but I think that will be one of the more difficult of the away games against a team that missed out of play-off's via goal difference. Sutton defo deserved top get back into the match.

Don'nt normally mention these things, but defo should have had a penalty in the 2nd half for a push on Edgeworth - not sure how the ref missed it!

Agree with Ians comments above

Thought that when high balls were put up for the forwards to knock on there was a lack of jumping and commitment.

Good crossing from the sides and Sinclair used his skills to good use to gain, control and put balls in for others.

Some good saves from Perks, but we did not challenge their keeper enough with shots.

Have to watch that we dont get caught on the break as the midfield is quiet attacking and can then struggle to get back.

The Ref had a terrible game and I hope we dont have him again as he does not have a clue!!!!

Overall a point from our first away game will do.

Tuesday against Burnham should be intresting - hope we have got enough stewards and food for the massive Burnham travelling support!

Had a bit of trouble with the Twitter updates during the 2nd half, lost the signal just before the pen. For those of your following was it OK?

The pen was given against Keane, who after the game was vehemently denying the fact it hit his arm. Those of us behind the goal saw it hit his chest.

2 goals from 2 attempts in the 1st half. Sinclair or Keane, can't remember who could have sealed it in the 2nd but unfortunately missed from about 3 yards out.

My main concern after today would be that the weakest position looks to be the forwards, makes releasing Yash odd personally. I went into the game thinking a point would be a good result, and I stand by that.

The coach was full windsorian!

Mixed feelings about the game, but at least it did not turn to defeat like it probably would have last season. Thought Martin did little to contribute today and should have been subbed instead of Hayes. Other than that it was a decent performance, much improved on last season.

Hopefully we can build on it from now on.

Yep although were all a bit disappointed about letting a two goal lead slip I thought despite our lack of chances created some of our football was very good today.

As for the front 2 I thought they did OK, but we must remember they have not played together before with each other (apart from about 2 friendly games), or with the rest of the team. The other debutantes have all played together before. It will take time.

Burnham on Tuesday will be a very, very tough game...

It will, but we shouldn't fear them. When it clicks in attack for us, whatever the first choice partnership is, I think we'll be fine. The rest of the play was good and if we'd scored the third through Sinclair when we had the chance, the game would have been won. I think credit should go to Sutton Coldfield for the way they forced themselves back in the game, even if their penalty should not have been awarded.

I am sure there were well over 100 Slough supporters there, fantastic turn out...full coach ( big coach) not a people carrier...That even Windsor could not fill..

see if we can send a taxi to Burnham to pick up there supporter... pitiful support all round in the leagues today !

see you all tuesday...up the rebels...
