The Citizens lost 2-3 at Herns Lane against new league leaders Langford on Tuesday might.

 

Ben L'Honre gave the visitors the lead after 29 minutes only for impressive youngster Laurence Rispoli to equalise just before the break. The home side went 2-1 up when Piero Bagalone scored 7 minutes into the second half.

 

The Citizens let the win slip through their fingers in five minutes of madness, first Rob Groves equalised for the visitors 58 minutes in and then 3 minutes later Gary Watt put the visitors 3-2 ahead with what proved to be the winning goal.

 

Welwyn Garden City play in the Extra Preliminary Round of the FA Cup against Flackwell Heath on Friday 14th August KO 8pm away at Flackwell's Wilks Park ground in Hertfordshire. A win will see them play either Oxhey Jets or Brimsdown Rovers in the Preliminary Round, that game will be played on Saturday 29th August.
