I agree - All teams have a few rabbits this time of the season its where those rabbits are come xmas when the weather gets cold and the pitches start becoming mud baths! Other clubs coming in for players, injuries etc so hard to tell from the first few games i always think its where you are after 10 games is where you will roughly be come May!

I would actually be more surpised if that squad of players were not title contenders given the players experience at step 6 and above. Daryl Pelton is an excellent signing, would probably stand out as the best keeper in the Premier Division and with the mixture of ex-BG and ex-Lammas players having already been there and done it (more than once) and I'm sure are capable of doing it again smile Add to that Joe Johnson from Chertsey and they should be favourites to win it.

Was suggesting their keeper would probably stand out as the best in the Premier, if he was playing there, in other words is easily the best in Div 1. Terrific signing by Anthony Yearsley, played a season with Daryl for the now defunct Bedfont Green Sunday and he's a monster of a keeper who spent many a year playing for Uxbridge and should have played higher. Has been known to follow the Bamfords around so look out BS wink

Green Pea, yes Scott and Daryl had good games both used there big frames to intimidate on coming strikers, thought Scott was Frimley's best player on the day.

Not to sure about winning the league as there are a lot of teams BS have not played for a few years, but they will be some were near the top come end of season.

You must of played with Clarky then in the Sunday side

not at all Sop, I've seen it all before teams off to a flyer and then after 6 games starts going wrong. Don't get me wrong I'll take a great start every season but as one or two have said, lets see how the table is shaping after 10/12 games.

If Bedfont are up there then great, as it will keep the division interesting as Mole Valley did last term.

it's a long season lads and div 1 is even more competitive this year. Several sides have improved over the summer.

We at Westfield flew out the traps last year and ended up laungishing just above the relegation places. As TC said it's a marathon, do you see Man U starting the season on fire? Staines are pretty much the same and when the weather and light closes in the men get seperated from the boys. Also new teams will have to ditch the park football mentality and abuse to officials as it will end up costing you

Sure did, cracking little player that we were sorry to lose from The Green but these things happen and are better left in the past. Anyway, best of luck to all the lads down there, most have helped my own club progress which I will always appreciate.
