The midfield

I think there is general conscensus that we need an extra quality central midfield player; but it does seem that TY is struggling a bit here.

For me-even more critical than a striker-as if you control midfield -you generally win the game.

That all given, in a months time-IF TY still has'nt got his man-could this be our midfield 5 -and frankly-it does'nt look too bad. (but of course you then get revaged by injury and suspension so still need that extra one to make a difference).

How's this though:

Corbishley, Lacy, Wilson, Robinson

Healey

I think we need to keep Lewis in central defence-unless absolute emergency.

Seems to control it there and we do look less like conceding.

its not broken-seems to be functioning quite well-not leaking goals-so leave it alone and don't change whats not broken.

Assuming TY goes with back 3; then of course, can Morris be added to the above, as he seems to be making the 'right sided central role' his own.

Next 3 games:

Morris, Lewis,Haverson

then:

Young, Lewis Haverson.

Wheatley -good-but not quite ready yet.

Maybe when Dan Young is back, if TY has not got anyone else-then thats the time for Lewis to go to midfield.

Come October-will Louis Smith also be nearing match fitness ? ( i read that Craig Cloke who has had a very similar injury to Smiths and about two weeks later;is not expecting to play until december earliest ).

Up front-we obviously need that target man.In the abscence of anyone else-i'd still plump for Taylor playing just in front of Blackman.Blackman can`obviously score-as can healey, wilson;but they all pick up goals by running on to balls (as does Pratt in the main )-so seems to me, that we need someone to lay them off-and at the moment-that just leaves Jo Taylor;but with respect to the young and ever improving Jo-i think we currently need someone a bit better in this striker role

I think we should resign Osman Sesay. He was class. When he was with us he only had trials with Spurs, Reading, and Crystal Palace. Now he plays for Ware, a league below us. Apparently he was a forward, but we played him at right back (just like Ryan Peters), and he played midfield for Palace...
