Real shame for him that he has been so unlucky with injuries. If fit would be a sure starter for me - scored regularly for Folkestone at this level - pity it didn't work out for him at Dover with the serious injury. Jimmy Jackson also still at Folkestone I believe?

Didn't catch Lombardo's first name but if it was Daniel (probably as we seem to like players with that name) he was with Chatham 03/04 and 04/05 (also in Millwall's U19's that season), Croydon Athletic during 05/06 and 06/07 and then joined Redhill for 07/08.

It was indeed Dan Lombardo, as for Chatham they certainly looked a good passing side and finished last season unbeaten in 12 games plus have won all their friendlies this season, so although we looked like getting a draw on Saturday before giving away a debatable penalty, we certainly looked disjoined at times, without Ben Lewis at the back and Wayne Wilson in midfield. Hope Luke Wheatley recovers too as hurt his left foot in a very late tackle by their sub striker who had the nickname Razor, I wonder why!!!

 

One thing to Chatham's due as early as probably the 10th minute one of their players lost their rag with Jo Healy after he made him look silly in beating him and promptly kicked him up in the air. The Chatham bench immediately subbed him as they could see he had lost his temper so well done to them.

Any news on young Langiano (is that his name?) - didn't look too good being taken away to the hospital on a stretcher with a neck brace on? Here's hoping he makes a swift recovery.

Saw Kenny Pratt - along with other Margate lads - down Broadstairs for folk week last night. He said Langiano was in a pretty rough way on Saturday, but was training the other night. But, as he suffered severe concussion, apparently under some governing rules, he is not allowed to play for 1 / 2 weeks. So, seems he is on the mend. Wishing him a speedy recovery.
