Sometimes its good to have a bit of a shake up before the real stuff starts-and avoids complacency.

i'm sure TY will use the result to the teams advantage.

Just hope no injuries obtained

One helluva set of first three fixture for us though.

If anyone gets any team news from chatham that would be really good

Chats won with a penalty about 15 minutes from the end. It was the only way either team was going to score. We were without Lewis and Wilson, had a couple of trialists, the fella mentioned by AB and someone called Lombardo (?). Robinson was in goal. Jury still out on him. Young played whole game.

Poor game. Never looked like scoring, service to the frontmen was awful. Didn't look like conceding 'til we changed the system, then we were all over the place at the back. Not too sure about the penalty, looked a bit shoulder-to-shoulder from where I was standing. As stated before, probably a penalty was the only way anyone was going to score.

Keeper looked a bit shaky on crosses, which is odd considering his size. Impressed with Morris at right wing-back. Got up and down the pitch well, and looked quite at home there. Interesting to see Lacy playing more central, where I felt he looked quite accomplished. Kept things simple - just lacked the creativity further up the pitch once Healy had to drop deeper. Not too sure about the new lad up front, didn't really do anything. Pratt and Taylor have to both be ahead of him in the pecking order for me.

Was most disappointed that, considering this is our last PSF, I was hoping that Yorath would play closest to his first XI, but I'm not convinced he knows what that is yet, so we may still see some shuffling in the 'real' games. Chatham will do alright in the Ryman South, I would imagine: they looked pretty solid, if not spectacular.

Roll on competitive games!

No disrespect to Blackman as i think he will be an important atribute to us this season and from what i have seen of him so far looks to be good but we still need an out & out goal scorer , is it to late to find one now will he be to much money only the next 7 days will tell us .

Quite a few clubs in the Ryman seem to have managed to pick up a good quality frontman so its important that Terry looks out for the lad he wants , also a worry that if Wilson is out our midfield seems to lack a bit of inventiveness but still early days , alot can happen and only time will tell .

Up the Gate .

We are a striker and midfielder short of being a top half side in Ryman Premier imo. Defence and midfield (with Wilson playing)looking solid enough but still lacking that creativity and cutting edge. If Terry and Nev can sort these two positions out we'll be ok. Andy Drury still at Folkestone? Surely better tnan what we have up top at present!

Cant disagree more BB , I think we look very much relegation material at the mo. At the back we look indifferent IMO and to me the midfield looks too disjointed , only Healy ever impresses me. As for our forwards , I like Blackman but to be honest at the moment if we had David Villa up front we'd struggle for goals as we create far too little . Going to be a long hard season IMO.

Hopefully, TY has found his goalkeeper in robinson.

Just that central midfielder and striker needed if thats the case..

The more i think about it-the better yesterdays 'result'-against a team that i am sure will get promoted; its a bit of a cliche-but a true one-that you learn more in defeat than victory-so i am sure TY learnt alot about his players and team from yesterday.

who is this Lombardo chap ?
