New signing for Stansted

"Essex Senior League club Stansted commence their league programme at the weekend with a visit to Eton Manor - now soundly installed as groundshare partners at Barking.

 

And ahead of the season pipe-opener, Stansted boss Terry Spillane confirmed that he had signed Scott Honeyball.

 

A player with a big presence in the game and a centre back of vast experience, Honeyball (pictured) possesses an impressive CV to include stints at Aylesbury United, Boreham Wood, Leyton (as club captain) and Enfield Town after beginning as a youth player at Leyton Orient.

 

Spillane added that Honeyball raised the morale extensively last Saturday when turning out for the club in their final pre-season game at Wadham Lodge in the 3-3 draw.

In my opinion, there is 11 clubs potential of breaking into the top 6 this season - should be a great season.

 

I agree with this . Stansted are my dark horses

my understanding is that he:
a/ doesnt want to travel as much for games?
b/ money he is being paid
c/ A lot of his mates are there.

personnally I wish him all the best, think he is a very good finnisher who will be missed.

Times move on however and another 2 signings yesterday, one of whom has played Ryman league, looking good for the season ahead.

Cool...fair enough then. Playing with mates is a big incentive aswell.
