FA Cup comes to Hertingfordbury Park!

Recommended Posts

Hertford Town have switched their Exta-preliminary tie at home to Newport Pagnell Town to Friday 14 August, k.o. 7.45pm.

TV cameras will be present to see manager Pablo Ardiles' dad Ossie with the FA Cup itself. Ossie won the famous trophy in 1981 and 1982 with Tottenham (or, famously, "Tottingham"). Ossie and his mate Ricky Villa are regular vistors to watch Ardiles Jr's side play, but this occasion will be special.

Must be a difficult decision - Turnip soup at The Hollow or Debbie's burgers at the new, improved, Hertingfordbury Park!

Must admit I'm interested to see what changes have been made, also to tell Pablo to stop approaching our players!! wink

They do the Pablo/Ossie story every bloody year when the FA Cup prelims roll around!!!!

Good exposure though I guess.

Horace - I meant to say that it's interesting you posted this on here, you must still value the Forum then or was it because you know full well that nobody would get to read it on your pointless breakaway Forum. I take it you will be at the game yourself on 14 August.

I was acting on the instructions of the Club Chairman, who wanted as much coverage as possible. There is no doubt that lots of "lurkers" visit this site to laugh at your latest offerings, so it seems sensible to post the item on here!

Have to go now - out with a 20 year old blonde for the evening, then back to hers.

Horace - Has Paula re-surfaced then, have a nice evening. I thought you avoided Hertford Town like the plague these days after your spat and sad parting of the ways last season.

Just about! He was really funny, got interviewed after by Sky and said how Hoddesdon was a stepping stone to bigger things.

Ryan showed huge potential when he first signed for Hoddesdon but I have to say that that potential still has not been realised....

But as a sixteen(ish?) year old who had only just broke into the first team it was quite funny!
