I'm surprised AWK hasn't come on to comment on the interesting Division 2 Cup draw. I think Aston Clinton could be dark horses although it looks like they will have to beat The 61 FC in the Semi Final to reach the Final unless Wodson Park can somehow go to Beverley Road in the Second Round and win.

not that I know Division 2 very well, but you are as usual a little dismissive of the other teams involved in earlier rounds.

LATO - I make the Division 2 Cup between two teams this season, The 61 FC and Aston Clinton, if I'm proved wrong in April or May next year when the Final is held then I will happily hold my hands up.

NeutralFan - You could say that, former Welwyn Garden City supremo Paul Tompkins is there and he has already pulled up trees during pre-season with some notable wins

Horace - You seem to doubt Paul Tompkins ability as a Manager and Coach, had he been given more of a chance at Herns Lane and a decent size playing budget Welwyn Garden City may not be in the mess they find themselves in now having to pick up the pieces following the sudden departure of the so called Dynamic Duo.

Joking aside it makes you wonder why Paul has had to drop into the SSML Division 2 to find 'work', it doesn't make any sense when Club's such as Aylesbury FC, Leverstock Green, Haringey Borough, St Margaretsbury and Kentish Town have all been looking for Managers recently.

As well as Aston Clinton, Berkhamsted and Tring Corinthians also have new squads. With former Levy Green boss Mick Vipond signing many Prem players Berko will be a good outfit, likewise with Tring C, ex Berko Town coach,Ian Richardson is managing and many of the ex berko Town players have signed....

Should be an interesting season.

I think Ashton Clinton may get close to a cup this season, i don't think that they will win the league or even go up. Much bigger teams in that league that will be pushing to take the title....

I do think its strange that there are so many people in charge over at Ashton Clinton, from looking at them they have Malcom,Paul and some coach as well. So who picks the team!!! I think this is what will cause them problems in the end..From talking to some players that PT has coached and they say he is a good coach but not a great manager!!!

I do think berko will take the title, with Tring, The 61 FC and Wodson pushing them close.
