I gather London Colney surprisingly lifted the Division 1 Cup this afternoon, beating Hoddesdon Town 1-0

Why, because Hoddesdon went into the game as the form team and London Colney were as flat as a pancake after missing out on promotion

Why a surprise ?

It's not a surprise, I think Cliff just wants to rattle a few cages, he must be bored or summit.

MonkeyMonkey8 - I always had a lot of time for London Colney until they surprisingly blotted their copybook at the Viking Sports Ground a few weeks back

Problem though Mr Rhodes is it isnt just them...........everyone has said that pitch was pony.....proof is in the pudding when they have cancelled the rest of your fixtures.

Just make a list and count up the fors and against? Im not to sure you will come out on top!?

I dont see why you have to make enemies with everyone? PT has always spoke very high of you.

Efc - The Referee said that he would leave it to the two Managers to decide whether the game should go ahead however I understand that the London Colney Manager declined the offer which backfired badly as had they won that evening then I strongly believe they would have gone on to beat Buckingham Athletic at Stratford Fields

No Rhodes you said the ref MADE HIS MIND UP AS SOON AS HE GOT OUT OF HIS CAR and both teams were ready to play and nothing was wrong with the pitch as you played on it on the monday smashfreakb.gif

Efc - Both teams were ready and willing to play as far as I can recall but the Referee turned up at 6.45 and wanted to call the game off, you could see London Colney's mind ticking over nineteen to the dozen looking to turn the situation to their advantage and when the Referee left it to the two Managers they declined and immediately suggested playing at Cotlandswick the following evening
