unfortunately couldn't make the game but word has it that Andy Jones again displayed more thuggery than football and Sammy was again way off the mark, Stuart was his normal brilliant self, defence was ok, Rudi made a marked improvement compared to previous outings, Hayes played good football in general but were let down by their defence as well as poor finishing up front. How will this Enfield Town team fair in the league according to last night's display against an inferior and mediocre Hayes side? I hear this team seems to be more committed to the cause than last season's team. Enlighten me fellow bloggers................

I think the fact that Jonesy capatained the side to an emphatic victory,says a lot..We need his steel in midfield.Just as Fergie needed Roy Keane 'steel' in midfield for many years.And Alex was well prepared to forgive his captains ocassional 'rush of blood to the head'.

Great result last night. Well done 'The Town'.

I have not managed to get to any of the pre-season friendlies, but from what I have heard and read,there does at long last appear to be genuine cause for optimism.

 

Much too early to be counting our chickens,but it does seem the new management team are very successfully moulding together a more than useful team which will be up there with the best in the race for promotion.

 

Who knows, with those striking 'Roy of the Rovers' shirts it might just happen this season!!!
