.. a decent wet fish shop within reasonable distance from Romford that sells the likes of clams, live mussels in their shells, plus crevettes and the likes? There was one near Forest Gate station but not sure if it is still open now.

I only asked on here because of the proliferation of ex-east end boys, some of whom may know as to where I can purchase said items. I only want the stuff for one meal I am cooking tomorrow, and I thought that you had to buy in bulk at Billingsgate?

I have just emailed B'gate as there must be some shops around there where you can buy in small amounts, a la Smithfield...

Coup if you go Billingsgate you can buy as little or as much as you want. Its not just trade or wholesale.

Yes mate...stalls/shops but the last time I was there was quite awhile ago so not sure how its set up now. Bit of advice. Go early to get the freshest, best quality and best chocie of fish. If you go a bit later the price drops off but you won't get the best choice or the best quality fish.
